  • If i don't have the Dimo, can i use onion's peel instead of that?

  • what type of glue is best for attaching on dimo to the Dizi?

  • Hm what key is this one in? There's F, G, E and C on that site by the looks of it

  • @TheKitsunebii The dizi is in D. You can find D flutes on the website as well.

  • my dimo wont make sounds :( help!

  • @muranyiii dood you are probably blowing it at the wrong angle.

  • what is the song played in this video? i can't seem to recall. thanks.

  • @idioticfabs Its a Chinese song called Cheng Li De Yue Guang.

  • Is that REQUIRED to play the flute? Or is that optional?

  • Is that REQUIRED to play the flute? Or is that optional?

  • @THEFINALHAZARD You can use scotch tape but the dimo makes the sound so much more unique.

  • @THEFINALHAZARD Alternatively, you can use a piece of very thin plastic bag, in order to save on dimo and have a better sound. Scotch tape makes your dizi sound just like a common flute.

  • the sound of the flute depends on how crinkled the dimo is, and in my opinion it sounds much better when it's crinkled!

  • so the dimo should look crinkled and wrinkled when i finish putting it on? cause someone told me it shouldnt be crinkle and smooth so now im confuse

  • Bangdi rocks-.- (: hahah tsk.... support bangdi la... go mr boo!! haha

  • i have some dimo. but i kinda forgot to purchase some erjiao last time. is there any substitute for erjiao? last time i heard or read somewhere that garlic juice will do a good choice. is this true?

  • the Er Jiao makes it sound better

  • if you ever got a reply to this can you tell me what a substitute could be

  • @HarryGinnyDxC Scotch tape also work. But alternatively you can purchase it cheap and without having to pay shipping here kortlink(dot)dk/7x2n

  • Yay I'm going to order a dizi flute soon ^__^ In the key of C... I hope it's the right one, I'm not really sure.. I don't like the high tones of Bangdi .. I like the softer and lyrical sounds o.o So, do I have the correct key? D:

  • How long I can use dimo after fixing it?

    4hour? or more?

  • Depends on whether you take gd care

  • Just use scotch tape to cover the hole. It might not sound as bright but you can learn from there. Else you can purchase dimo from my online shop.

  • Is there anyway I can make dimo? I have a flute, but it is without dimo and unplayable :(. I really want to learn how to play it, but I don't have dimo.

  • I don't have the glue =( ... what can i do?

  • I'd look for some high quality, acid free water soluble glue. Check local bookbinding or paper-making supply stores, good hardware stores, better art supply stores or even scrapbooking suppliers. Or, you can order it from the same place where you got the dimo.

  • Thank you, Pheline.

I've already bought a helpful glue and I did the process. It's kind of difficult at the first time. The dimo is like a tube with two walls of paper, I don't know if I have to stick the entire tube or just one wall of it.

The flute is sounding good, but I can't make good high tones.

  • You have to slice the tube open and stick just one wall of it.

  • Thank you for the subs!! Now I just need more practice :)

  • Cool. If only I had one of those... :-(
