The GOV may not have the right, but they take the right tell you/me and everyone eles what you can and cannot do,and there is nothing anyone can do or say about it. this may sound like a defeated attitude but tell me has anyone ever gone to battle with the US GOV and WON??????
Listen to me, I respect the rights of everybody, they should have the right to smoke, but I live in an apartment and I have four neighbors on all sides of me that smoke and I can't even leave my windows open for a second without smoke coming in, its stupid. If you want to smoke and get cancer, all that good stuff, do it some where else so it doesn't harm other people. AND I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO MOVE BECAUSE OF SOMEONE ELSE'S HABIT. I SHOULD BE ABLE TO LIVE WHERE I WANT SMOKE FREE!
You wouldn't want people crowding public doorways, farting in your face every time you walk by, would you? Smoking in public is just as offensive. I'm not asking you to quit, I'm asking you to be just a little considerate of somebody other than yourself, for a change.
You're of the belief that smoking in any area where it can physically harm the unwilling is acceptable, no conditions applied or compromise possible. That is the belief you're stubbornly shoving around. That, by definition, is bigotry.
I'm okay with compromise. You smoke where it will only affect you and leave the the unwilling out of your sick addiction. That's as reasonable as anyone could ask. There was no hypocrisy in anything I've said.
Sure, why not? I'll take a quick stroll down a some random state to wander around all day, every day looking specifically for buildings that don't allow any smoking of any kind. Aside from that, I'd like you to name these restaurants.
Foods, no matter how unhealthy they may be as a whole, always possess some nutritional value. By the way, I'm assuming you're just the type of person to believe carbohydrates and cholesterol are unhealthy for you at all times, in all quantities. Wrong
You clearly don't understand what Asthma is. I don't share the same fetish of killing myself as you. Some people actually want to live their lives, rather than stunt them.
There aren't any restaurants that specify an absolute absence of smoking. There are smoking/non-smoking sections, but they are never filtered.
Discouraging smoking isn't a belief, it's self-preservation. A basic human instinct.
Also, you're just as guilty of trying to shove your "beliefs" down the throats of others as any non-smoker for that comment, alone. Score one for hypocrisy.
Before the smoking ban, NO you could not. Before the ban, I had not seen any restaurants and especially bars that chose not to have smoking. I think you should have some places that allow smoking and some places that don't. Otherwise people who do not want to choose to be around smoking have no place to go, and are forced to either be around smoking or stay at home. Its not fair for you to ask them to stay home if they don't want to be around smoking.
when something as smoking is banned in certain areas, then you have no choice but to give in,,they have every right to bann smoking! smoking not only effects the location your in right at the moment, but it also polutes the air, the enviroment and it's growing epidemic that is not visilble to the naked eye! tell me, i choose not to smoke however, when i pass by a public place or even a restraunt i'm forced to smoke through second hand smoking, WHAT CHOICE DO I HAVE!!!!
boo hoo hoo cry cry sob sob , tell ur shit to some who gives one , anti smokers need to get off their pity pottys and change their fuckin tampons , i love to kick the shit out of ones that get in meh face
yes cry some more , yes more tears as i light my menthol up in ur face , what ya gonna do bout it . its fags like u that are hoppin on the bullshit lie wagon about smoking , geez leave ppl alone and maybe u wont get knocked out by a smoker
You've failed to understand the definition of "internet toughguy". Let me clarify in the simplest form I can so you can comprehend me. To be an "internet toughguy", one on the internet must simply threaten another on the internet with physical violence. This includes threatening to cause somebody online physical harm offline. This message has been brought to you by the letters F and U and the number 2.
I know you can't throw down because if you could you wouldn't be so insecure.
never said anything about doing any kind of violence to anybody online. Oh and I can throwdown. I was refering to people in my town/city that are anti smoking nazis.
and going by your own logic, you are by definition a "internet toughguy" . I fear no one , my fists are big enough for me not to. quit trolling nigga, WHY YOU MAD?
Please, quote for me what I posted that implied I wanted to cause you physical harm. It's okay, I'll wait...
If you're so tough, show us all in a video. On a side note, your use of the word "nigga" denotes your poor, if not lack, of education. Good job of using "Why u mad?" first, though. It may be your one achievement to boast in all this. If you weren't so easy to troll, maybe I'd find easier prey. That is how trolling works, after all. Om nom nom, feed me. >:P
Great vid! You make some great points. I hope you post more on this subject as our viewpoint doesn't have much money to back us up like the anti-smokers do.
Agreed. Tobacco companies, in my opinion, needed to pay for years of witholding inforamtion, particularly about tobacco being addictive, and they did. It should have stopped with there, but what's unfolded has been like the seige of a city; the city has fallen, but the invading army can't stop itself from looting, burning, and pillaging.
The most worrying thing is the sheer knuckle-dragging quality of the debate. Half the western world seems to be falling for it. Here in Britain, we've racked up more "Big Brother knows best" laws in the last decade than in the history of the country. They will all have to be repealed eventually. The totalitarians think they are winning the argument. In fact, they are making a mess that will take years to clean up.
This smoke ban is just a smoke screen. The truth is it's really a socialist private property grab to take away business from small mom and pop operations.
I'm a non-smoker with asthma... but I 100% agree with you. If someone wants to open a premises to cater for the consumption of a LEGAL product, it is FOR NO ONE to prohibit them, not even the government. We must continue to fight these puritan bans everywhere they rear their ugly heads. Thankyou for posting this, you're a star!
You are so right, but convincing politicians to listen to reason is a lost cause nowadays... I live in Wales, a total ban came in April 2. It's legislation for segregation.... fascist dictatorship in the UK
Less goverment equals more freedom...plain and simple. And who said the younger generation doesn't appreciate things? This lady seems to have figured things out rather well...
I'm a non-smoker yet I am against anti-smoking laws. If people think second hand cigarette smoke is deadly, what about the carbon monoxide in MUCH LARGER AMOUNTS from the car exhaust pipes?
We should get the Tobacco Corporations involved too.
You are kind of crazy BUT one cannot ignore the fact that Hitler and the Third Reich imposed similar smoking bans throughout Germany and the conquered territory. Smoking became a symbol for liberty and freedom from oppression. So hey light up a smoke in support of freedom. This nanny state thing is getting very annoying.

I strongly encourage smokers to continue to kill themselves. Lift the ban, just segregate them so non-smokers don't have to smell it.
Die an early, painful death if you want but just don't force me to suffer for your fetish.
