I saw these guys in Jan, they were a fill in support act for a Franz Ferdinand gig. No one knew who the fuck they were, but they took the stage and blew franz out of the water, completly. I was lucky enough to meet the guys afterwards and they were great. So glad there getting massive everywhere!

Very good point deejaybee. Most pop, rock etc... is going to sound a little bit like something else these days, but it's plain hear when someone has REALLY ripped off someone else's music.

This Temper Trap song is truly outstanding, it will stand the test of time, and watching this live video is making me rush!

i like this song but i can hear 6 early 80s bands. bass and guitar u2 when they were good. singers voice the mighty whah drumimg from omd. theres also bunny men, TFF. tear drops and more. still good song and look great live

i think you're stretching the "this band sounds like so-and-so" analogy a bit far. i've seen u2 8 or 9 times over the years, and echo & the bunnymen when they toured ocean rain etc etc etc bono simply connot 'sing' - he's a shouter, and anyway - the edge ripped of that dude from simple minds for the the fiddly, echo-y guitar patterns (speed up someone. somewhere in summertime, and i aint even a minds fan). You might as well say EVERYBODY ripped of Les Paul for plugging an electric guitar in, eh?

Wow. Um Ok. I think you've kind of missed my point. I saw u2 that often (as with a lot of other bands) coz I had an uncle that worked in a concert hall and i got in for free a lot. No biggie. So how that "says it all" I'm not sure, but anyway - all I was saying was if you look hard enough you'll probably hear just about any decent band in there.You went to the trouble of naming a band for every instrument - fine, but why?What was your point? And Les Paul is dead? Jesus. Bad sarcasm man. Really.

i was there too! visiting my sister in brighton, she says "I've got tickets to see this band, I think you'll like them....." Understatement of the year or what? An incredible band. Can't see the coldplay/u2 comparisons making any sense - chris martin/bono couldn't sing like this if you put a gun to their heads....
