Yes, it's the criminally underrated WR rhythm section of Hakim and Bailey locking in, grooving hard and everyone building it up over the length of the tune - a perfect opener to this recording which has a few gems hidden within it. Though well into the 80's when everyone else seemed to be jumping on the Yamaha DX-7 bandwagon, Joe managed to keep his sounds warm, fat and organic instead of using cheesy and dated tones like his peers were making. 25 years later, this still sounds great.
