That red veil reminded me of a scene in the movie "The Blue Kite", set during the cultural revolution when all things traditional were banned, where a man places a red scarf over the head and face of the woman he loves in an attempt to recapture a piece of the traditional ceremony. Very touching and beautiful moment. I wish more Chinese women would wear the traditional wedding gowns today instead of adopting western fashion.
