  • how can you tell when you are about to fly out of range and about to lose it?

  • @oldlite On 72 MHZ FM once you get glitches out far time to turn around lol

  • if i put this system on my plane i could fly it all over my town!

  • @fartinthewind13 you could, but illegal though

  • @lvsupertech Watch new york by team black sheep

  • What equipment did you use for the flight?? I want to get started with this type of flying.. The real airplane cost's to much. Thank you, I will wait for a response..

  • @jltaviation1 this is the 2.4 GHZ video on board system. Flown with an FM 72 MHZ radio control system. Best to have receiver antenna wire extended to 76 inches long for 1/2 wave better range. From future hobbies dot com

  • great video and good landing with engine failure!

    5 stars!

  • @1982MCBain THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

  • Excellent video.

  • @MiemChan YES TAKE OFF AND LANDING BY VIDEO. VIRTUAL HEADSET ON ALL THE TIME IN FLIGHT. EQUIPMENT IS: FUTURE HOBBIES DOT COM 1000 MILLIWATT 2.4 GHZ VIDEO AUDIO TRANSMITTER. (WARNING: DO NOT USE 2.4 TRANSMITTER WITH 2.4 GHZ RADIO CONTROL!) INSTEAD USE 900 MHZ VIDEO TRANSMITTER. ANYWAY THE SONY SUPER HAD CCD 1/3 550 LINE CAMERA, THE STANDARD RECOMMENDED 2 DBI ANTENNA OMNI DIRECTIONAL, THE RECEIVING STATION: DIVERSITY RECEIVER ALL IN ONE, TWO 12 DBI RADOME HIGH GAIN ANTENNAS 2.4 GHZ

  • impressive video... and I like your goggles, what make is it?

  • how much is all of that gear ive heard you can just take your on board cameras reciever and plug in to a portable tv and get the same thing but i would like to try your way to. could you send me the link to the sight or sights were you purchased your video gear.

  • with what I have , I'd say around 1200.00. You need not go with that much to fly FPV. You can get started around 700.00 to 800.00

  • Cool! i want to have glasses like that!

  • future hobbies, range video, hobbywireless dot cam for those goggles

  • roughly what is the altitude in this video?

  • maybe over 5,000 feet above sea level the lake is at 1180 feet

  • cool.

  • Thanks you

  • This is some serious altitude. I posted a video using Parkzone's J-3 Cub and a Flycamone2, but it gets blown out of the sky by this. Nice, I love high altitude shots from RC.

  • Thanks RF seeker. At present working on installing auto pilot fail safe telemetry GPS.

  • These are some truly awesome videos! Just as good as any of the UAV vids on the net. Are you taking off and landing with the goggles on? I'd find it hard without a reticle.

  • SOMETHINOTHER: I am taking off and landing with video goggles on. The video is very good. virtual 60" screen. easy once you have done this a couple of times or so. level landing just before touchdown a little flare can see great. Thank you for commenting.

  • Great video. What was the radio link equipment used to be able to fly long distance. I assume you are not using regular radio control ?

  • Using the USA 72 MHZ Aircraft radio. It is by Hitec. Optic 6. I have a LiPoly 11.1 4C battery 2600 milliamps. Gives it a boost. The best receiver I have and recommend is the Hitec electron 6 Dual conversion PPM FM Receiver. Narrow band. I do not recomment the stock receiver winwhich comes with most ready to fly planes. They are the low end receivers. I had problems with those. Soon I will test the 2.4 radios with 900MHZ video systems.

  • in what max. range (distance) you can get with it?

  • over 3 miles

  • hi there!allways when i do watch videos from the bird view it makes me think about on what a beautiful planet we are living.i live in berlin and i wish i could find such a video about my favorite locations.besides, this filming location looks like a dream.

  • Thank you for your rime viewing, and comment.

  • Nice flight, great scenery, and a very good dead-stick landing. Great pilotage. Thanks.

  • In the full version, it was a while before I landed. Thanks for viewing.

  • Partok81. Thank you! Will be working on the camera to pan it.

  • Hi Rick,

    Very Cool!

    Ray

  • Ray; have that ultimate ready. Tracey and I went out tonite. I worked late till 8 PM

  • Amazing as usual. Keep up the good work!

  • Thanks chris. If I could get more time. I wanted to to visit family in Palm Springs and LA area of California. There are two fields to fly. Want to do something different FPV there.

  • I think it's all about location.

The video I created in Corpus Christi is so much more interesting than any of my local flying fields (literally Texas cow pastures).

    Lake Mead is stunning.

By the way, I crashed my new (second) Lancair this past weekend. It was a perfect storm: dead-stick at the end of a low pass.

I'm going electric this comming summer for sure.
