I dunno about you, but the woman at 2:53-2:59 took the words right out of my mouth because that's what I'm about to say to all the songs on this list.
Yeah, another thing about North. If you want the kid to stay with you, don't sing a song that starts with describing how your first son DIED! It's just PLAIN, COMMON, SENSE!!
I remember only one thing about the Xena show. It was that one episode where she got attacked by a DEMON BUNNY! That was the inspiration for that one skit on Monty Python.
My lord in heaven! I even TRIED to watch North when I had Netflix, but GOD! My eyes felt like they were bleeding! And my ears were ringing when that stupid song came on!
My lord in heaven! I even TRIED to watch North when I had Netflix, but GOD! My eyes felt like they were bleeding! And my ears were ringing when that stupid song came on!
7. 2.22 Lady, you have NO idea. Can someone call Kratos to shut them up?
6. The Duke wasn't a bad villian (in my opinion) but his songs were "eh" to me. What a waste of talent for the guy who was in The Sound of Music for cripes sake!
5. Family Guy: The Motion Picture would be a better title for North.
7: i remember seeing this movie when i was a kid and Boy it suck ass even worse this song is completely fucked up and is shit.
6: i have nothing against Rock a Doodle however the voice acting is bad and all the songs including the villain songs is awful. you should make a top 13 worst villain songs.
@SHADOWASH7 In the words of The Nostalgia Critic... "You're too f***ing nice!" Just kidding, but "North" really does suck! I hated this movie! Hated, hated, hated, hated this movie!
i saw the trailer to hercules and xena when i was young it looked like it was cool. never saw it but if i did i would be disapointed. if you wanted to see a Hercules musical go with Disney.
Uh...Hercules and Xena was a favorite of mine. But We're the Titans was a guilty pleasure of mine, so...yeah...I know it can be bad, but hey. Nothing's perfect.
Good lord! That goddamn song from North doing that but was just insulting and embarrassing of them to do that. Plus Reba McEntire (one of my all-time favorite country singers, personally) was the only one who sings alright and dandy (believe me, she's got a great singing voice in my opinion)...but the rest of those jerks singing just insults me to the max. I bet right now Reba's regretting from EVER doing that black sheep of a song scene from that crappy movie. Sorry for the rant, bro.
@F1315NJ Indeed. I tried to watch it on Netflix and I wanted to gore my eyes out with a jackhammer...covered with hot oil....on a bed of nails...while a shark was eating my feet and a racoon was clawing at my chest.
I actually like the titans song. The titans themselves are half threatening, half comedic, the song is also half threatening and half comedic, so i believe the song fits.
The songs in rockadoodle...okay the battery song is stupid and pointless, but the choir of owls actually sounds pleasant and the duke of owls is a good villain, that's why i can't hate the other two songs.
North...raping up a well-known melody into a shitty song...WHICH DRUGGED MONKEY WROTE THAT?
It seems kinda odd to use Teacher's Pet as an example of a film that shouldn't have had singing in it seeing as the show it was based off of had songs in it. I'm sure that's part of the reason why the movie was a musical.
Anyway, I am loving this list so far. You definately bring up a lot of good choices. Yeah, I admit I kinda like We are the Titans, but at the same time, I cringe at how insulting it is to see the freaking Titans singing it and acting dumb while doing so.
@slashermaster28 As for the songs in Rock-a-Doodle... I admit, the only one of those I kinda like is Owl's Picnic simply because it's so unintentionally funny and prissy, I can't help but like it to some degree.
I actually like the Grand Duke of Owls villain songs, the first one sounded really ominous, although that might be mainly because of the pipe organ and I'm a sucker for pipe organs and monocles. The second and third songs are just fun to listen to on my end.
Though aside from that I do agree with you for the rest of the list, even if I do find Ruber's song to be a guilty pleasure, the threatening minions chanting is really cool. I'm surprised you knew what they said though, it was so quiet.

I dont know if this answers your question but i believe any animated movie in the mid to late 90s were trying to rip off disney AND FAILED HORRIBLY, Some probably came close but no dice. Just sayin.
Yeah pretty much gotta agree. Plus the movie north didn't make too much sense either - not to mention if tried that stupid speech four eyes gave to the kids to MY folks you'd end up with your head turning 360° degress like the exorcist.
@TheFounders Pretty much. But it's all about lyrics and music. Not always about visuals and whatnot. Don't treat you songs like how Roland Emmerich makes his films: plotless, lack of creative character development, and useless imagery.
7. I never saw the two series, never saw the animated film and never heard of the song. Thank god. And no not all animated movies have songs. The ones meant to be truly taken seriously like the works of Hayao Miyazaki and some other films like The Black Cauldron and Secret of Nimh have no songs. And god bless them for that.
@EVILdemon1123 I friggin' LOVE Red Dead Redemption. So, I figured I would put in a pop culture joke. Plus, it's the most recent Western game, so I figured 'what the hell'.
Hate to say this, dude, but that Titan song is catchy. If they put it in like a modern setting with the greek gods and have better animation, different character designs, etc...it could've been a great song. Sorry, its a guilty pleasure.
wasn't boom shakalakal the song that the pigs used tu "summon" miss piggy in the muppet treasure island? OMG those titans want miss piggy with them XD
HOW COULD THEY DO THIS TO XENA AND HERCULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and it is true why do they have to sing in every animated movie???? still like the review though
7. Never heard of this, and I'm glad I didn't. And why does the animation look like Dexter's Lab? (Same animation company?)
6. I was thinking the same thing, the majority of this list so far seems to be villain songs. Plus why did they give the villains in this movie so many songs?!
5. Again, the mighty have fallen. I can barely even watch the Nostalgia Critic review of this >_<
I never watched the "Hercules and Xena" animated DTV either (or maybe I've completely forgot), the song sequence sounds like it sucks all the threat out of the titans.
"North" must have been the start of Rob Reiner's downward spiral of smugness. BTW, I think Buck is supposed to be a cow that hates the month of February.

Christopher Plummer was not good as the voice of the Grand Duke of Owls, but he does have a good singing voice as the voice of Henri, the French pigeon from An American Tail.
God that song is a butcher of the Bonanza theme. I love how you used the Dead Eye from Red Dead Revolver.
