I think That anything that causes us to re focus on GOD is worship. To Christians Think about what Jesus did and who he walked with. Was it the righteous or the churched. Did he go and meet ppl where they are. A prosistue, Tax Collector, Demon Ridden? He met ppl where they were and focused them on Christ. I think Any Church that is willing to meet ppl where they are and show them GOD ACCEPTS THEM AS THEY ARE is completely biblical.

I got saved because through the message I finally came to realize the only way to God is through a relationship with Jesus Christ, I came to fully understand for the first time what Jesus did for us all and I accepted Him into my life :D THE GOSPEL is the name of the last series at Newspring, which focused alot on the sermon on the mount and really drove home having a passionate relationship and true walk with Jesus. :D

why is everyone so critical? Songs are used for expression, for connection, for enlightenment. . .why does it have to physically mention God to be applicable? The message of the song applied to the series. Disappointing to see some people will criticize no matter what the church does.

How can one sign highway to hell and all the other satanic songs as a worship songs and then do a song like this????

Because most churches have mixed the holy and profanes things together and it is no big deal.... In Gods eyes it is. Please God rather than mans flesh.

Newspring never claimed Highway to Hell to be a worship song, it wasn't sung as one, it was sung as a fact, that many of those people were on the Highway To Hell and maybe until that night it had just been a song. Now it was a reality. With that understanding, THEN came the worship songs to prove God is the only answer. Did anyone hear the MESSAGES that followed these songs? People are so focused on what songs Newspring did THIS time, have they bothered to listen to the messages?

I would agree with you if NewSpring was using these songs as worship songs, but once again you speak out of ignorance. The songs you mentioned were used as special music to reflect the mood or the motif of the sermon topic or series. Neither was used to exalt God in worship.

@salmonmachine lol. You really think that Jesus Christ would come down and rock it out with all these devil songs. Than you my neighbor know NOT the God of the scriptures. It is the Word of God that pricks, convicts and cuts the heart of men to repent towards God of their sins. Not world business tactics to entice the flesh of soul that are already condemned. Saved people, think that salvation is the main thing and then ignore the commandments of the scriptures directed at born again souls.
