yo mismo fui a la universidad a dar un retiro, la virgen lloraba todos los dias a las 10 pm, se compraron MUCHAS imagenes similares sin embargo dentro de la universidad hay una muy alegre comparada con esta que es muy alegre. El Sacerdote que estaba con nosotros esa noche nos comento que poco a poco la virgen se volvia mas triste y que sus lagrimas eran sanadoras, no es ciencia, es fe! Its not science. I've seen with my own eyes, along with my sister, of our old school's statue of Mary holding baby Jesus. In my 3rd grade, we saw her tears flow down and the area has been untouched for quite a while since there was an overgrown garden around her. The school was called Santa Maria~

lol its not miracles. its science. the eyes are made from a stone that condensates when warmed. all they do is keep the statue cool until they want to "awe" people. its quite simple really.

I think scientifically it can be possible. If science has figured out how to keep a softdrink cold by a simple chemical reaction to oxygen, why not a statue? Have you even seen the Japanese Hologram technology know a days, it is amazing. All I'm saying is to keep and open mind and don't let vatican science brain wash you. I agree that science may explain it. My point was that I have actually seen this particular statue cry in different temperatures and humidity conditions and the emperical evidence does not support the comment made above.  FYI, my personal bias is toward a scientific explanation, but too many things suggest otherwise. As an example, the tears have the viscosity of water, but they drop very slowly down the face. The interface tension doesn't appear to explain this. Makes me wonder.

i have a book about this, she cries everyday, her tears are similar to human tears, and if you took a coth wet from her tears it could heal a mute or crippled, mute would be able to talk, and crippled would be a ble to move again.

And beyond what i have said below, there has even been statues of Mary crying that is made of Metal or Bronze.. and In different cases they tested the tears and they seem to be human... but still fluently ruin for hours or even days.. I encourage people to look into this because there are alot of people out there to tear down your faith... If they cant explain these then they run out of options and have no choice but to admit they are wrong and start believing in god..

the comment below is just a thought from probably an atheist who thinks this can be explained by natural causes... He is in search to ruin peoples hopes.. This does not break down anypart of our faith.. More scientific studies have been done on various statues not just this one crys there are many many more that cry. It indeed is a sign. If the moisture secreats from it wouldnt come in that abundant amount. Go and do a little more research before you go and post on youtube

One of two things both based on the fact the eyes are a different mat'l and the furtherest recess into the statue. 1) Temp changes of eyes versus statue condenses small amounts of water and warmed up from visitors expands leaching out. 2) Moisture already in statue finds the only escape from the deepest recess as it warms. I wish it were mystical but I think it is scientific. The adulation of Obama however is mystical and should be studied.
