One of the obvious things is that Rin and Len are actually both killed by MEIKO, since in her part she sings "If it weren't for the red path that she made, no one would think she ever existed" and another translation says "You won't meet her if you don't follow the red path"

Add these together, and the fact Rin and Len say that they explored every door (and one translation says "follow the red path") means they freed MEIKO by accident, and she killed them.

This is what I think about the song. I think that the red one killed Len and Rin because Rin and Len were in the woods under a rose tree and the red one said that she was in the woods to seeing roses.
