I'm not trying to bad mouth air soft at all, I can't make that clear enough. But I was looking into buying a nice 600 dollar or so airsoft M4. But then I realized something, for that much money I can buy the real thing. So that's what I did, but now it has come full circle because I found this video researching sights for the real thing. For those of you saying PTS means it's a toy and not legit Magpul trademarking, to my knowledge you are wrong. Magpul's professional training and simulation division makes real steel items for simulation purposes (airsoft can be considered a form of simulation). Yes, they are made for airsoft, but no, they are not cheaply made. I have yet to find something made by Magpul, PTS or otherwise, that is not absolutely 100% top-quality.

FYI the rear sight aperture has two

Sizes for a reason. The larger is for low light situations. Not for a tighter shot.

Thanks for the review, I'm getting a pair for my AR for sure. For all you people hating on this guy, get a life. Remember with airsoft, you can pop off 500 shots for a couple dollars. All you shooting .223 or 7.62, have fun spending fifty bucks to shoot a few. At the end of the day, you shoot twenty five bullets, he shoots five hundred pelets, hes getting more practice and improving his weapon handling skills. Practice improves aim. I think airsoft is bad ass, and I did 4 tours in the marines

@gtafreak567 no youn dont there is an added bit on the barrel that has the front sight and the counter clockwise thread's. you need to get a smal allen key and unscrew the two little ones on each side near the front site. it's on the part's break down that's how i figured out. there's no point though because when you do that the inner barrel stick's out and it look's weird.

the rear sight has a peep sight (little small sight), and a O-2 sight (open sight), all rifles have both of these. O-2 sights are meant to be shot from 150 meters and below, and peep sight is farther. my bro picked one of these up on his AR-15, cant wait to check it out...

@ridah925 Because of priority dude. I don't see why so many people have a problem with it. Alot of soldiers play airsoft, and in alot of countries, firearms are illegal. Airsoft guns can be incredibly accurate and high performing, what you pay is what you get. Airsoft was for replicating real firearms and be able to shoot eachother without killing eachother. Why dont you just mind your own buisness? nobody wants your opinion bashing on something you cant comprehend.

I'm considering getting these sights. Can you tell me how high the rear sight rises above the flat top rail? For example, if the sight is in the down, non-deployed position... how high does it stick over the top part of the rails? I want to make sure it'll fit between a scope and my flat top rail.
