wow, so they thought you were some schmuck, they thought of buying your art, and instead of blasting them right there, you acted and told them to send you the message they "Devised" with their ad-agency. Then you punk'd them with your own message that totally deflated the "Devised" message they wanted you to "Paste". AWesOme job man, those fools though you are some glue pasting guy. Now what do they think? Ahahah now they'll send the overpaid ad agency suit dogs to do the pasting themselves.
Everybody should care about the rain forest, but placing the blame on chevron for whats been happening in Ecuador is completely wrong. If you research the relationship between Texaco and Petroecuador (the state run oil company) you soon realize it was Texaco that did its part to clean up the mess, while the Ecuadorian government continued to rape its own land and poison its own people. Protecting the rain forest and the people of Ecuador is a worthwhile cause, but your blaming the wrong people.
Joell5678, like Chevron, seems to have totally missed the point that this guy is not in "the marketing field". He's an artist. They tried to co-opt his work and buy him out. It backfired. Boo-f'ing-hoo.
Chevron may think we're stupid, but the fact that The Yes Men and many, many others were able to sabotage their ad campaign this easily pretty much proves that they (or at least, the folks in "the marketing field" they paid to make them look all authentic and compassionate and in touch) are.
No, Joell5678 is right! It's very important to hold yourself to a rigid sense of capitalist "ethics" when dealing with assassins, murderers and environmental terrorists like oil companies!
You give the marketing field a bad name. They sent you money, and the product that they paid for, so you would do the job you agreed to do. I hope they sue the hell out of you and get the money that they wasted on you back. It doesn't matter if the company is bad. A man should be judged by his word, and obviously your word doesn't stand for much. You give other people who work in this field a bad name...
if a human trafficking organization paid money for you to make something, would you "do it" or take a stand against it? this video is a good message. Its people like you who are obsessed with money without any morals the reason why the american capitalist system is up the creek. greedy pig.
nice film, an artist with some integrity, more rare. Now if only RAN would stop supporting clear-cutting of old growth forests and pull out of the FSC as so many of their supporters are demanding, thought the new E.D. would have done that by now....
