I'm always amazed by how many well-known mainstream bands quote obscure bands as inspiration........I thought VENOM, DIAMOND HEAD, ANGEL WITCH, WITCHFINDER GENERAL, MERCYFUL FATE and CANDLEMASS were fairly obscure.....but there seems to be so much out there that I havn't yet come across-including this band!
Looking back, it's a shame that whether a band made it big or not was determined by such small, non-music-related things. You can't listen to this and not call it above-average metal, yet they never made it up there when other bands with better cover-art and band-look, but lighter metal, did.
You can look at the debut cover art and videos of all the bands in the early '80s, and see which ones had bigger financial backing than others (the ones that made it). Shame. Still, this rules.

It's not bad, but with people recording digitally and commercialism dominating (like music video making and stuff) it's not as good as the old stuff-
