@valeria333able sweetie homosexuality has no cure because it's not a disease, it's just another way of being. Being trans is harder, because it means that your mind and body don't agree, but in those cases the best we can do is make the body look like the mind feels. I wish you luck in your transition :-)

All sorts of people are born mentally different and I believe in God and I think he accepts us that way. There are people who are born mentally handicapped, there are people who are born with multiple people living in their heads, there are people born with one leg, and some attached to each other. God still loves us I think and we just have to learn how to deal with these things. The point is if you're born a certain way I think God accepts that and people should too if they can.

I used to be a "tom boy".. Did everything my brother did. Played with snakes and lizards, played with car toys, trains, barbies.. AND my brother wanted to wear finger nail polish. My mother allowed him to wear clear polish. My other brother wanted lip stick but grew out of it ..... What is wrong with people allow them to grow through it.

It's not just about being referred to as male or female it's lots of things. We go through daily torture, we are referred to as the WRONG pronoun and a name that makes us feel like crap and hate ourselves. We also hate our bodies, it's wrong with what we feel we are.

And what you said, that it doesn't matter if you have a penis or a vagina, it does. It's harder to be accepted if you're a different gender than what is on your body, and people refer to you as your birth gender against your wishes

For me, Androgyny is a beautiful thing. But it can be very depressing for people. I am biologically male, as far as stereotypical labeling says anyway. I have a penis, meaning male of course. But, does this mean I cannot dress as a girl and call myself a girl? No it does not, and anyone who thinks so is very wrong on the matter. past stereotypical boundaries, i am merely me, who i want to be. No labeling, no naming, just me. Androgyny. Simply beautiful :)

I wonder if the kids pick up very early the stereotypes of gender. Where I grew up most of the kids were more mixed in they way of being. Though, cautious, wild, calm and so on didn't apply to any specific gender. Those who were either very feminine or masculine gave the impression of being to concerned about their roles. I grew up in a weather-though environment so the practical came first. When I was in France as a kid the people there thought I was a boy but I was both stereotypes.

I wonder if these children could start hormonal therapy around the age of puberty. Obviously less than older trans people use, but still. They'd never have to go through the wrong puberty, and it would prevent their birth gender characteristics from ever forming.

Typically, for children and prepubescents, hormone blockers are used. That way, they can reverse it if they decide to so, and experience the puberty of their biological sex or they can continue transition and use hormone theory to continue as their affirmed gender.

There is a push in psychological and sociological circles for androgynous parenting - staying away from typically "boy/girl" rules. Allowing children to choose things for themselves, etc. For nurseries, going with gender neutral colors and themes are the way this is pursued.

It doesnt make them bad parents, it makes them stereotypical of how parents believe they should be. Colour is used alot in the way of labelling people, children especially into genderal categories. Male and female are terms used to label humans, where this should not be the case. As human beings, that should be our only label, not boy/girl, male/female but human, straight and simple. Reminds me of when I was in 1st grade. Our teacher had each kid make a hand print on a paper plate to take home for a mothers day gift. The boys had to use blue paint and the girls,red paint. Red was my favorite color then, and when I tried to use red paint, the teacher took it from me and said " No no no,Red is for girls", so I said " What's the difference anyway?" so she made me stand and face the wall in the back of the classroom. My mom still has that blue hand print on a paper plate lol

Yep. For children, they use hormone blockers, usually, so the child doesn't have to experience puberty as their biological sex. They can stop using them and experience it, or begin hormone therapy at a later date to continue the transition into their affirmed gender.

I think it's to do with the fact that they had to categorize it somehow. it's listed in the APA handbook as a psychiatric disorder, and even though most professionals believe otherwise, there's thus far no proof. So they continue how they are.

Personally I believe it's a hormone imbalance during pregnancy. What upsets me is that it's a deformity, yeah - but if you were deformed in that you had no arms or legs, society would be on your side. So why is it so against transpeople?

i think transgender kids are great..i just wonder if people didnt say that only girls could do "girly things" and only boys can do "boyish" things that he wouldnt hate his genitelia...i mean its totally up to the kid, she knows who she is...but i think it might be easier for her to decide if boys didnt HAVE to be masculine...and only people with penises can wear dresses...but i think this is a VERY cool couple and a cool kid
