  • Oh man, Bob Armstrong is hilarious. I mean, I couldn't stop laughing at his description of the match.

  • @detchuck Everything has been Monopolized. Not just wrestling. Mom and Pop stores are gone small businesses but I never thought someone could monopolize something as large and Worldwide as pro. Wrestling.

  • someone should grab russo by the scruff of his neck and make him watch this video over and over and yell at him "THIS IS HOW YOU DO A SWERVE"

  • So used to seeing Bob Sa the good guy! And what's up with the Mr Kotter mustache?

  • I used to stay up until 12:00 am on Saturday night/Sunday Morning to watch this show when I was a kid. I remember watching this footage when it originally aired.

  • I used to stay up until 12:00 am on Saturday night/Sunday Morning to watch this show when I was a kid.

  • Eastern championship wrestling destroys this

  • FUCK WWE !!!!!

I will never go to your house shows or pay for your PPV!!! NEVER you will NEVER get a dime out of me!!!!!!!

  • now THIS is the rasslin' i used to watch...tennessee stud, mr olympia, bullet bob armstrong. those were the good ole days!!

  • :23, BUTT CRACK!

  • Man! I cant believe seeing this footage. I was born and raised in Mobile Al. 14 y.o. the night of this match, and there at ringside in the Mobile municipal Auditorium, now called the Mobile civic center. Next door Expo hall which is where SEW held matches once a week for years. If you know anyone with video footage of the Mongolian Stomper vs Jos Leduc I would love to see it, that was a classic longtime blood fued!

  • I was there all the time! Every Tuesday night! Mobile Municipal Auditorium (at the time), Expo Hall, match time 8:00! Somebody out there knows what I'm talking about. And I do remember the original Midnight Express; Randy Rose and Dennis Condrey. Good times man. Good times!

  • @cwalk302much Amen! never missed a night, friend of mine and I would walk from LADD stadium to expo hall every tues night. Use to stand around and talk to Ray Hall who most of the time was the ref for the matches. Jerry Stubbs,Jos Leduc, Mongolian Stomper, Don Carson(Big C w/ his mask on and loaded glove), Tony Charles, Georgia jawjacker Bob Armstrong, those where the days of real wrestling!

  • Glad the stupid WWE does not own this. The WWE is a joke it's not wrestling nor entertainment.

  • @EternalDeathSavior This was posted 4 years ago, so they might now.

  • Aw Man I was at this match when i was a kid.

  • Posted that last one before i watched this. I was at this match. Holy Crap what memories. Flair in his prime. Even got to see Andre the Giant one time, when they brought him in. Anyone remember the Original Midnight Express? I remember buying the stock Cornette was selling at the shows, to invest in the Express. Wonder if i should email him and try to cash in/

  • @bamacapt Speakin of memories, I was about 11 when i went to the airport in Mobile with a wrestler named Mike Diamond who was one of the Infernos and picked Andre up and took him to the Expo Hall to wrestle Harley Race. That Chevy leaned to one side that day.

  • @apalefaceinjun still one of the few not acquired by the wwe tape archives

  • This is what i grew up on here in Mobile. These are the tapes i would show a young wrestler trying to make it. This is when these guys did it becuase they loved it. I agree with the post that said someons should use the Fuller LegLock. Always thought it was a good move.

  • I don't get why Vince and his cronies would work so hard to keep footage off of this website that they will never put on a dvd. Between Obamacare and WWE, this whole nation is turning into the old Soviet Union!

  • @pekernek because he puts all his stuff on that WWE 24/7 and charges fior it. On you tube it is available for free. Vince McMashon cannot stand competition- any competition: WCW, AWA, WCCW or YOU TUBE!!!

  • @tommy15958 I can just see it now: Vince buys youtube and gets the rights to every video ever uploaded here, and then sets up an Invasion storyline, with John Cena, Randy Orton, John Morrison, Sheamus, and the Miz vs. Kevjumba, Fred, Nigahiga, Shane Dawson and Ray William Johnson.

  • Great to see a REAL wrestling fan!! Not the wwe/wwf circus B.S.. mcmahon's a jackass and i'm happy to see Im not the only one!

  • I love heel explanations. Bob's is one of the best I've ever heard. He was doing Ron Fuller a favor, naturally.

  • Who knew it was Southeastern that invented the split-screen. You learn something new everyday

  • AMEN ITS A JOKE THIS IS A CLASSIC

  • One of these wrestlers today need to use the Fulller leg lock as a finisher . To my knowledge the last person to use it in a big organization was Steve Austin in WCW. Would be a good move for a Chris Masters?

  • ron fuller is much better at being a bad guy. if austin idol hadn't interferred, they'd broke ron's leg. great wrestling. later it was the studd stable, ron, robert, jimmy golden, lord humongous, the flame. the stable was the bad guys. they were the best heels ever! taking on bob armstrong, porkchop cash, mr olympia, austin idol

  • The Continental Studd Stable (1980's) was basically the pre-nWo. From the size of the group, the run ins & controling the show.

  • Not nearly enough love for the ref selling Flair's chop like a shotgun blast at 5:50.

  • Vince doesn't own anything from Southeastern/Continental, Mid South/UWF, Portland, and contrary to popular belief, Vince does not own anything from Central States

  • Either Mr. "Power Hungry" Vince McMahon, DOESN'T HAVE (much) confidence in his WWE empire or HE DARN WELL KNOWS that he RUINED wrestling and is intimidated by many fans praising the "old school"-and thus, wants to take OUR fun away!

  • he does release footage on dvds, but we dont get to see any of the great promos we wanna see that we grew up watching except for a few randoms clips spliced in, like myself, im a stone cold fan and i always look for old school promos and stuff on here, stuff i cant find anywhere else, wwe 24/7 is cool but it sucks its limited to only matchs that can be found on dvds if you look hard enough

  • again...does anyone know where i can get dvd's of this wrestling??...does anyone sell them??

  • how can i get my hand son some dvd;s of southeast championship wrestling?

  • NO VINCE HATES WRESTLING HE IS SPORTS ENTERTAINMENT NWA IS WRESTLING TNA IS WRESTLING ROH IS WREWSTLING WWE IS SPORTS ENTERTAINBMENT CHECK OUT ECW ORIGINAL STEVE CORINOS SHOOT ON WWE its on youtube

  • Vince is senile that he thinks all wrestlers and wrestling companies belong to him, period.

  • southernpurewrestling . com has launched !!!

  • fuckin' racists.

  • It would be a better youtube world if that piece of shit would remove every bit of that WWE cartoon crap off of here

  • i dont think it was arragance on wwes part i think it was carlesness i think whoever job it is to get WWE owned material mistaked this for WWE owned footage. One of the best things Vince McMahon ever did was buy all that footage and perseve wrestlings history.

  • but in turn we never see any of it again not to say anyone else would have put it out

  • what are you talking about, vinnie mac releases the footage to the public all the time. for a price of course. WWE 24/7 on demand along with all the historical DVDS they make.

  • they do i agree but they really only scrape the tip of the ice berg of what they have

they have yet to buy UWF/MIDSOUTH library

  • he doesnt release southeasstern championship wrestling

  • because he doesnt have the rights to the footage.

  • well the NWA world title is being defended in RoH currently...and since they have ppv, thats a good step.

  • sweet..if you like Puro check out NOAH and Dragon Gate..you won't be disappointed.

  • Good to hear...What Pwg, Chikara, RoH, and Shimmer DVDS do you have?

  • that's fine and well and good to say..but do you take the product that is spoon fed to you for free on the tv..OR.. do you get off your ass and find the local Indy shows and Pay some money to support Indy Wrestling?

  • indy Wrestling sucks compared to the Studio stuff and territories of the 70's and early 80's..Apples to Oranges you can't compare the two!

  • i agree with you dude...its not happening unless its on tv....miss these days

  • austin idol was tha man and im from mobile 2 orange grove

  • as a wwe fan i hope wwe falls under or at least new competition t compete against them.. wrestling died with wcw

  • I was actually at this match. I live in Mobile, Al and Flair would come do the Southeastern towns for a week about every two months. Weekly shows were held in Expo Hall, which is attatched to the main civic center and holds 5,000 max. This match filled the main civic center (almost 10,000)

Flairs deal with the Fullers (owners and bookers) was $1 off each ticket sold. So when Flair came to town the card would be advertised "championship prices in effect" which was $1 increase. DAMN I MISS IT !!

  • Was that in addition to the 10% that he already was paid as the NWA World Heavyweight Champion, or did this $1 increase make up the 10% of the gate?

  • I watched this wrestling on a channel out of Knoxville TN. It was great wrestling then. And FUCK WWE Vince Should go stick his Long nose up that Dwarfs ASS He has Destroyed pro wrestling he is money hungery & and power thirsty and I hope someday WWE goes under.

  • if that happens il ltake there footage if they dont need it lol

  • I guess WWE now LOVES seeing their stuff on YouTube these days; they stopped cracking down on them months ago when they realized their current product sucks!

  • yeah i noticed that

but funny thing is the UWF/MID SOUTH stuff is being taken off by the watts family lol

  • im not gay

  • great footage!!!

  • great match

  • The closest we have to real wrestling in North America right now is ROH and PWG. I still like Japanese Puro the best though

  • Don't get me started on WWE's version of ECW. What a fucking joke. I could book better in my sleep. If they wanted ECW they should have given the book to Paul Heyman and let him book it as he sees fit, and the McMahon's could have taken care of the financials

  • what are u a smark or a wannabe wrestler with all the lockeroom lingo. why use it if u dont live it. u dont even hear wrestlers talking like this ne more!!! christ

  • tazz said its a different brand wit da same name i would like the old ecw back

  • wooooooooo i love ric flair

  • I really miss the old great NWA local territorial promotions that ruled Supreme in the 70's and 80's. If a local promotion tried to start up today, the WWE would simply walk in and sign away all of their wrestlers with bigger money contracts. I hate the WWE!

  • Great wrestling all round.

  • Message to Vince! What your seeing here is WRESTLING Vince not Sports Entertainment...I know its an odd concept for ya but, trust me it can work.

  • wrestling the way it should be. Man I love seeing Ric do the different terratories. I never knew Bob Armstrong was a heel.

  • u never know what wwe will own next this might be next

  • charlie platt is awesome.

  • god damnit stop sending this stupid shit you guys should go get lade instead of jacking off in a fucking room while your watching porn

  • It's LAID, learn how to spell

  • WWE Sucks

  • People who have never seen "real" wrestling (as opposed to WWE stuff), wouldn't understand, but this was a classic. Thanks for the memories.

  • this is gay

  • This is great...

  • Kno wonder wwe does not own it it suck and its boring to watch this is lame and gay

  • Hey peeps Can you watch our videos and comment?

  • if they exist someone needs to market them or sell to wwe if not than stop complaining

  • if they exict u midas well sell to wwe at least they would be preserved

  • Yep, Rob Fuller. I'm from Pensacola, one of the main cities of this territory. Arn Anderson wrestled his first match at the Pensacola Bayfront Auditorium, and was a Southeastern Tag Champ. Hogan, the Armstrongs, the RnR Express, Rob Fuller, Jimmy [Bunkhouse Buck] Golden, Michael Hayes, Paul Bearer, Dr Tom Prichard, and so many others came through this territory! It later became Continental Championship wrestling and went indy as the Continental Wrestling Federation.

  • may thought that Continental was the next big promotion and would have exceded wcw and been as big as wwf

  • I am glad to see the history of pro-wrestling and some video not owned by the wwe. This originated in the southeast and took off from there. The true history of the Sport of Pro-wrestling.

  • WWE are trying to ruin Youtube and dominate the internet and the media. They removed two of my MANCHESTER UNITED videos, which HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH WRESTLING and like this vid, they don't own it. They also remove videos that criticise WWE such as people talking about them using webcams and stuff.

  • Ozzydown2earth dose not work that way in that case NBC could ask to not show Highway to Heaven cause they air Little house on the Prarie thay can however ask to remove it because its connected to the NWA timeline that wcw was

  • They CANNOT ask for it to be removed based on Flair being in the footage. That's absolutely ridiculous. They don't own the footage, and Flair was not under contract to them when he filmed this. That would be like ABC asking for all "Star Trek" footage to be put away because William Shatner now appears on "Boston Legal."

  • And another thing, not only did they remove my Manchester United vids, I heard rumours of WWE going beyond their legal rights and removing videos owned by British Sky Broadcasting, BBC, ITV and even TNA Wrestling. They are just trying to make themselves look big and they think they can control everything.

  • They do own the rights to Ric Flair though. and seeing how he is on this...they can ask for it to be removed.

  • i seem to remember that the Farhat family also lost alot of master tapes of Detroit bigtime wrestling

  • Ron Fuller, David Woods, Les Thatcher, and Jim Cornette have all come up short looking for those masters. If they exist, they're well hidden.

  • David Woods and Jim Crockett do have the masters but no has the right price and he does not want to sell to Vince because the he wants to perserve the history

  • a) Where did you get your info?

    b) Why would Jim Crockett have the masters?

  • #1 I was an employee of Woods Promotions who owns the Master tapes of the Contenental Wrestling Federation and the Federation itself and Crockett Promotions which is now defunct had a working partnership with Woods and Crocket would have some of the Master becasue at one point they both had ownership.I have enquire aboutt making and selling the DVD of SouthEastern/CWF DVD history. Anymore questions ?

  • Funny that Jim Cornette, Les Thatcher, Robert Fuller, and a dozen other people say the tapes don't exist (and they looked for them because there were money deals on the line). If the tapes existed, they would be on the auction block and Vince would be trying to buy them. I don't believe you. And Jim Crockett had NO ownership in Southeastern/Continental. You're a b.s. artist and not a very good one.

  • You are a funny mf , read you email i have a few words for you. If you new the business you would know what you are talking about. all you have name have been agents , writers , and promoters for the company and they cant locate the master tapes ? Really , Mr. know it all , you are as dumb as you sound. i guess me working for wood and you hearing 2nd , 3rd, 4th , and 5th hand is better. Idiotic thoughts

  • You didn't send me an email. You b.s.ed that like you b.s. everything else. Ron Fuller, Robert Fuller, Buddy Welch, etc. were owners of the company when David Wood was still a mark TV goober.

  • There might be some late 80's Continental masters still in existence but the classic Southeastern stuff from the 70's/early to mid 80's is GONE. Taped over. Not in existence. Not being stored in David Woods' basement. Not in position of Jim Crockett (who wasn't involved with this promotion in any way, shape, or form other than the fact that they were two members of the NWA, which was a worldwide cooperative of wrestling promoters).

  • your are a funny mf. in 1988 where were you, still peeing in the bed . Fuller sold the company and all its wrights to woods . Did u not understand I was talking about what I knew when i waas an employee for woods 's.86-91 . you call me a bs artist the only thing Ican tell you about the early tapes before the late 70's is that they are lost . Iknow nothing before then. I do the WCOV TV studios was the location for filming even before the woods era.

  • cool

i wonder what other collections are out there not wwe owned

  • wewt... GO WWE!!

  • did David Woods say anything about master tapes being around?

i know wwe still dose not have the watts UWF/Mid south

Larry Matisick once said that wwe wanted his collection to but i guess it never happened

  • Woods said he didn't have them. He said his TV station (WCOV in Montgomery) didn't have them, either. He said four consecutive years, which is what I have, was quite a bit more than what he had, and he didn't know of anyone at that time that had more consecutively without missing a show. He said it's possible Ron (Welch) Fuller did have some masters, and in doing more research since then, I'm just not sure if that's the case.

  • Since then, I've talked with Ron West (former Continental general manager, and on screen, "troubleshooting referee"), and I know he had quite a collection, but that's been a few years now. I'm also not sure how clear his tapes are -- he never told me they were masters. A lot of the people who have Continental now (on DVD and what not) got it from my collection, because I've traded quite a bit of it.

  • It's very popular, and I've kept my stuff put away. The tapes are getting so old now that I'm afraid to play them; I'm afraid they'll snap. I've been converting them to DVD, commercials and all.

  • In talking with others, I've also heard it's possible that Robert Fuller may have a pretty solid collection. Robert isn't exactly the easiest guy to track down if he doesn't want to be found, and I've never ran him down to ask him.

  • I think a lot of this confusion comes from territories that have used some variation of the word "Continental" in their name. By the way, back in the 80s, a lot of people would get the 'CWA' and the 'CWF' mixed up.

Incidentally, Continental was a great promotion. There were a lot of great angles the promotion did, a heck of a lot better than the "sports entertainment" stuff a lot of you guys have been spoon fed.

  • Nate is right.

My name is Mitch Lucas; I wrote for Pro Wrestling Illustrated, The Wrestler, etc. from 1999-2002. I have about four years of Continental on tape (1985 through its end in 1989). I interviewed former owner David Woods. Continental did NOT merge with anyone. There's a name confusion there with CWA, and Continental. Continental was NEVER a part of the Memphis territory. CCW got into financial trouble in '89 and simply folded. WWE does NOT own any CCW/CWF footage.

  • no i dont work for WWE but you guys out here are funny cause you complain when wwe shuts these videos down but yet you post them nkowing that you should not post wwe owned stuff

they dont own this ok so what i feel that wcw library came with more than just nwa crockett stuff anyways

its like illegal immigrants they sneak in and complain when they are caught saying they are citizens

dont post wwe stuff and there wont be a problem

  • well in that case anyone can seel there copies of tv from this promotion

  • WWE is the only good wrestling company. not UFC. not OVW. & sure as hell not TNA. screw SCW.

  • WWE doesn't own the intellectual property to this stuff, point blank. The masters don't even exist. There has been, for all intents and purposes, an act of copyright abandonment. The footage of this promotion will never be released commercially. This is, essentially, public domain.

  • what a shit!!!

  • dont put wwe stuff on you tube its simple

  • What do you work there? Eat shit, buddy.

  • the wrestling world with no feds to challenge it. TNA is a place for indy guys and wcw and wwe rejects and ROH is a dvd based company so it's no wonder why wwe is deleting things they don't even own, they believe that if it was connected with the fed they have the right to force youtube to take it down.

  • actually what i meant to say but i couldn't because i wrote way to much is this. WWE believes that any promotion that was connected with the nwa/wcw is their property because of the 2001 deal. WWE wants to monolopize the industry because it's getting weaker and weaker and the smart fans notice that. TNA is weak so can't challenge vince but he might have his hands tied up with ROH.

  • dude the guy who Owned ROH owneds TNA

  • aw stop that, he does not.

  • no no he doesn't owned the both of them i mean like they hired the Jim Cornet from ROH to Manage TNA

  • I gree with you on the WWE thinking that they own all of wrestling tapes in the world. I too have had my account deleted on several occastions by WWE bullying YouTube to delete accounts. Please. The WWE isn't all that! I am so sick of them thinking that they are the best in the world. They just love throwing their weight around.

  • It's interesting that Flair's style has barely changed between then and now. He moved a little fastrer back then but his move set and signiture spots are just the same.

  • Armstrong's reasoning for the attack is hillarious. I don't understand why WWE would care about you putting this stupid shit online.

  • If this is not proof that Ric Flair defended the belt against anyone during his heyday better than Hulk Hogan than what more do you need. And ROBERT FULLER...didn;t recognize him without seconding Austin or Jarret.

  • its me the same guy s nate749 new name though, boberthavok would that mean than that wwe would have the right to get the watts footage? because of the merger with crockett?

also what other libraries are left for wwe to obtain?

  • now im waiting to be proved wrong

  • Wrestling is fake, screw those bad actors. Have a great day.

  • boberthavok;

i think i proved with the UWF footage that wwe dose NOT own this stuff posted here as sometimes footage is NOT part of a sale

they also tried shit with me cause i have footage of edge from 1996 1997 here in MI and said i cant air it i called the attorney general and they said dont worry u filmed it its yours to do as u please

  • I work for WrestleBirmingham in Birmingham, Al and the WWE DOES NOT own the Southeastern footage. I work for the people that owns the footage.

  • wwe than i guess could say that the uwf/ watts stuff should also be there's huh?

  • wwe still dose not own the uwf watts stuff (i hope they NEVER get it

wrestling at the chase /st louis

boberthavok , even though i do not agree with you on the ownership of this footage is there anything else library wise wwe dose not yet have ?

maybe peurto rico and memphis just curious

  • Captial Wrestling Corporation

    World Wide Wrestling Federation

    World Wrestling federation

    World Wrestling Entertainment

  • World Championship Wrestling

    Eastern Championship Wrestling

    Extreme Championship Wrestling

    Georgia Championship Wrestling

    Stampede Wrestling(1948 to 1984)

Jimmy Corkett promotions(Eastern States Championship Wrestling and Central States Wrestling)

  • American Wrestling Association

    Florida Championship Wrestling

    Ohio Vally Wrestling

    World Class Championship Wrestling

    Smokey Mountain Wrestling

    Championship Wrestling of Flordia

    X Wrestling Federation

  • That Jimmy Corkett was one damn fine wrestling promoter

  • Here is the list of all the video libraries WWE owns.

  • Port?

  • Still waiting

  • You are wrong WWE does own the rights to this. Because Southeastern Championship wrestling became Continental Championship Wrestling which they merged with Continental Wrestling Association then they merged with World Class Championship Wrestling. WWE owns the rights to WCCW library. So sorry to tell you but you are wrong

  • Uh, no. You're wrong.

  • No i am not. I looked into it. I researched it for a while. Plus how have you proved me wrong. Show me proof that I am wrong

  • boberthavok, your "research" is incredibly flawed. Ron Fuller's promotion didn't "merge" with Memphis and Memphis didn't "merge" with World Class. It's a little more complicated than that. Ron Fuller owned the intellectual property on the footage posted here but the master tapes were taped over. If it went to court, it would likely be ruled that the copyright was abandoned. But either way, the ONLY person who would have a claim is Ron Fuller not WWE. You're way off base, friend.

  • DAMN!

  • I watch raw or nothing cause smackdown sucks because every frickin night it is about finley vibin wth some one

    (have a problem)

  • lol

  • check out Unleashed... I saved it to my faves...

  • wwe also ruined ecw cus now nothing is extreme and they just call everything exrtreme even though its the same shit thats on smackdown and raw

    wow what an extreme powerbomb

o my god what an extreme sidewalk slam

holy **** that spear was extreme

if they were gonna make ecw just to make it nothing but the crappy shit they put on smackdown or raw they should have made a third brand but no they thought "hey lets trick the fans to think that ecw is coming back the make nothing extreme at all"

  • you right by that what the fuck is a extreme elbow anyway and they should bring back brock lesnar at least he can beat lashley and get some ratings.mankind, ultimo dragon, ans some other old wcw stars to help the show

  • wtf is wrong with wwe they used to be good a long time ago but now its crap TNA is the newer and definetly better show cus its not all a fuckin bout big guys like batista and bobby lashley and the x division is awsome

  • true not owned by wwe but anyone that is currently under some kind of wwe contract that is on this video is in wwe right to have it pulled

  • Bullshit. That would be like saying the producers of Battlestar Galactica could have Miami Vice reruns pulled simply because Edward James Olmos was on them. Doesn't work that way.

  • eing¿ xD aki en español cabrones!
