this may sound wierd, but maybe they are purposely not releasing it to make sure it keeps its creepy and mysterious vibe. Maybe they want it to forever be a cult film for the lucky select few who got to see it.
I watched this film and it totally freaked me out I saw it on 4chan and dicided to watch it Boxing Day, I am a mother and live in the UK. Whilst watchint this film I did have to turn away at some points cos it is really close to the mark, but still, I watched it to the end. 2 days later I did have a dream that a masked man killed my husband and then came for me. I like horrors, but I dont think I could watch it again.
I saw it and as hard as it was to watch (lots of it is VERY twisted), it was a brilliant movie. In my opinion it trumps all "found footage" films like Blair Witch by a mile. It was so brutally realistic and emotionally involved it made me remember why horror is my favorite genre. 10/10 check it out, just be warned that it is hard to stomach, particularly if you are the parent of a young child (you'll see what I mean)
I watched it yesterday and loved it, but a couple things kinda took me out of it as far as the realism goes. First, the female FBI agent's performance seemed really forced, and unnatural. Same thing with the news reporters. Seond, I think it looked a little too polished for a documentary. I'd like something like this to look more along the lines of what the programs on A&E look like n stuff. This just has more of a movie look and feel to it. Its fantastic though, and I highly recommend it.
I watched this film 2 days ago. It scared me. It legit scared me. I've known about the movie ever since 2007. It's up on youtube right know. Im still scared. I almost broke my phone while watching it.
My sister tapped my shoulder while i was watching it. It was the part when he was in the house. Well she tapped my shoulder and i smacked her and threw my phone at her.
If that gives you an idea of how scary this is. If you haven't seen the film GO WATCH IT NOW!!!
I think your hyping this movie way to much. It is kinda disturbing, Not for anything thats actually in it so much as it puts the idea of a serial killer breaking into your house and kill into your head.
The biggest problem I had with the movie is that the killer is suppose to be shooting all these tapes on VHS camera but watching it it should be obvious that it's all shot on a digital camera then the film makers threw some filters over it in aftereffects afterwards to make it seem like old tapes
I have seen it, I really liked it. I was kind of disturbed by it a bit. I LOVE horror / thrillers (I'm much more of a thriller film fan) I thought the film was a bit repetitive, but other than that I REALLY liked it.
although im not a fan of horror this movie was balls awesome
best horror ive seen since blair witch
but i think watching it here on the interenet was a better feel than on a dvd, it gives it more of a "oh shit this might just be like some real shit they couldnt release"
i plan on fooling all my friends into thinking it was real lshit
Poughkeepsie was an absolutely brilliant movie and more than diserves a DVD releasing AT LEAST, i saw this movie poster at the local theater and it was just never relased, but i found a way to see it and was blown away completely!
might wanna try HMV or something they're good at getting obscure movies in though order but i only heard of this online i read very mixed reactions so i downloaded it but if i could find a copy i would buy it
