  • what would be the best setting for regular highway driving fuel milage. my dad has a duramax with the bully dog and the performance setting gets better fuel milage than tow/economy. im thinking about getting a duramax and this is the programmer i will prolly get so i would like to know the best setting for highway fuel milage.

  • Typically, the best setting for mileage is the lowest setting, as it increases fuel the lowest amount. But keep in mind. This thing doesn't just boost power, it has a whole assortment of safeguards to keep your truck safe - it'll defuel or pull turbo boost if your EGT's are too high, or if it notices that the transmission is slipping. Yes, you get lots of power, but there are a lot of above-and-beyond safety features built right in. Give one of our sales reps a call and they can fill you in!

  • thanks

  • my dad has a duramax with an mbrp exhaust a knn intake and an edge juice with attitude chip. Do you know if this combo should be blowing smoke?

  • What kind of smoke? Lots of thick smoke? That means too much unburned fuel is exiting the engine and not being used. Perhaps an ignition upgrade is in order.

  • any smoke at all, it dosnt blow any smoke what so ever.

  • Well then things are going fine. Smoke is bad. Yes, high performance diesels seem to smoke a lot, but that's just excess power that they're not using. No Smoke = Good.

  • If you think smoke is bad, you might as well work for Banks! Yes it means you arent burning as efficiently as you could but come on its fun!

  • Hey, nobody's knocking the awesomeness of seeing a diesel truck screaming down the sled pull lane and shooting hell out of the exhaust pipe.

  • attaboy thats what i want to hear!!!

  • :) :) :)

  • Well, I would put this in the category of "Towing and Heavy Load," which means that you'd want to stick to the lower numbered settings of the programmer. Typically, the higher-end settings will give you more power, but under heavy load, sometimes that extra power is a little bit too much. I would give one of the sales guys a call - 1-800-4 Stylin.

  • when plowing, is there a certain setting that works best or should you stick with stock settings? just wondering if u knew
