Yes, in the comics, Fergus is Scrooge's father & I don't think he was ever mentioned in Duck Tales. The Fergus mentioned in this game seems to be a Fergus of an earlier generation--one who was never mentioned in the comics & was made just for this game. He's referred to as great, great uncle Fergus. If a great uncle (same thing as a grand uncle) is a brother of someone's grandparent, then the Fergus of this game must be the brother of one of Scrooge's great grandparents.
