Amanda Woodward is a goddess. I hate that in the remake Katie Cassidy's character Ella Simms...is just another version of the character. An exact copycat of what a younger Amanda would be.

I think they're gonna end up retooling Ella's character simply of the fact that the show would seem a little off having a Junior and Senior bitches! You see it now. Ever since Amanda came back Ella has been put into a more sympathetic light revealing that she had more redeeming qualities unlike Amanda.

yeah you might be right, I mean alot u guys feel no one will ever play a charcter very close to amanda's as well as heather locklear did I'm a child of the 80's. I love heather she's a legacy. I also grew up in 90's so I really don't mind giving katie cassidy a chance, even tho some characters are extremely close to originals would you have it any other way ? since every charcter not exactly the same, I love putting the puzzle pieces together and drawing contrasts its entertaining

The show really won't last long. I mean 90210 is ok, but it was able to prove that it could sustain an audience and not require Jennie Garth or Shannen Doherty to help them. They have had to sign on so many MP alum to boost the ratings. It most likely won't last past this season. I mean it hasn't been given a full season. THEY PLANNED ON KILLING AMANDA YOU KNOW. She was supposed to be the landlord, but she said no so they went to Laura.

Just another reason why Melrose Place was THE soap of the 90s!!! LOL it wasn't MEANT to last longer. It was what it was & did what it did: the writing was always top notch aka GRADE A GUCCI! The way Alison always took Amanda's garbage demonstrates the continuity you find in great writing! No matter what was said by Amanda, Alison never forgot Amanda was her boss at work! Who, in the 90s especially, couldn't relate to that??? lead, follow or get out of the way!

I didn't appreciated Amanda's character as I appreciated Alison's.They both were whiny ,bitchy and Amanda seemed to be very aggresive and kind of hostile.I would chose Alison as my friend in a minute though!I find her more interesting as a person.

The few times Alison would fight back, she'd actually get in some good digs. I loved her "bleached blonde piece of dirt!" insult when Amanda snatched D&D right out from under her. It was funny mostly because Alison usually just stood there like an idiot while Amanda would be so casually mean.

Amanda was just naturally a bitch and a mean person. Kimberly and Sydney were better than Amanda. Only Kimberly could've blown up the whole apartment complex, which I couldn't see Amanda doing that.
