Singkil is a Maranao dance. It is not a Mulsim Dance... There is no such thing as Muslim dance. Singkil is usually danced by the nobles - Prince and Princess. Therefore, participants has to be in elegant costumes... walang naka-topless. Since it is a showcase of elegance, wala ding dancers na yumuyuko, lahat ng dancers ay naka-chin up. Sana the group has made some researched about the dance bago sila nag-perform para na-showcase talaga nila ang tamang kultura.
@hoyle70 i agree, if anything its more like a hindu dance since singkil portray the ramayan epic, with lord ram and sita, in which the filipino version the names are different.
to be more artistic dapat di nakayuko,,,,, meron iba mga dancers na mga babae medyo nakayuko takot siguro maipit sa kawayan,,, dapat nga kalkulado ang galaw ng mga paa para walang maipit

im not totally impressed this group.
ok na sana pero yung umbrella nila dapat they put something naman para maging touch talaga sya sa muslim.
its a muslim wedding dance kasi if im not mistaken.
tapos naka topless pa yung mga lalaki.

i don't particularly like the costumes of the fan girls, it all looks too much like an indian 'sari' but on the other hand the princess is darn good.
