in my country no one play flamenco.. thanks to you tube im able to see something like this..flamenco is the best music ever for sure.. at first i didnt like this piece.. but over spending some time asking my self a question "why he plays that" everything come to make seans..
last year I decided to analyze this piece for my modern music compositions class in short it is based on a poly adaptable modality at the end my prefessor said who wrote this piece when I explained Paco De Lucia a guy who barely can read music,I think he blew a couple of fuses in his brains lol
i see well thank you very much guys ! may i ask another question ? if you're a classical guitarist in span of one year of learning your lessons ! what kind of pieces you should be able to play or mastered! ( level ) thanks
I'll tell you what I could do after a year. Since I sucked, I could only play romanza and a few exercises by Carcassi . Now I can play a few more exercises by Carcassi and easy, easy Bach (2years). Hope this helps.
really ? meaning im so advance ? coz after 10months of learning i can play valse venezolano no.3 etude villalobos 1 up comming etude 2 .. gacia's etude 17,19, 21.. i can play them about 70-80 percent clean in learning about a month..is that a good sign ?
I think you're looking at the instrument in the wrong way, it's not about what someone can learn after a year of playing or ten years of playing, it's about enjoying your time playing, an understanding of the instrument.
it totally depends on the amount of training. Some people train one hour once a week and others 4 hours every day. In a year thats already quite a difference
Most of the guitarrists have both and use them depending on the type of song. In this video Paco plays with one of his guitars "Paco de Lucia Brand" which is a "blanca", made of solid cipres wood.
ahehehe it seems you did'nt understand my question, what i mean is! if the guitar are different in its form..thank guys anyway i know both flamenco and classical history and technique! i just wanted to know the difference by means of their making..cause they seems look a like in their form! so that my second question can be justified , if a flamengco guitar can be used in classical approach..or vice versa! thanks for the reply guys! someone pls differenciate their quality and form thanks!
Yes, there are differences : flamenco guitar is a little bit smaller and lighter, so that her sound is different too. The woods used are not the same, nor the strings. The differences are not very important, but they exist, so that it's difficult to use a classical guitar to play flamenco. You sure can, but the effect won't be as good. Ok ?
i ask someone who sells flamenco guitars and he told me, that they wood is different. wood for flamenco guitars is lighter than wood for classical guitars. that's the reason, why flamenco guitars sound "quicker", they react faster. but the light wood can't hold the sound as long as a classical guitar. you can play flamenco on a classical guitar, but it's not the same.
they are very different! the flamenco guitar is quite different from a classic guitar, flamenco sounds dirty,it has to ummm idk in english "trastear", and the technique is also different you have to keep certain position of your body, hands on classical, not in flamenco
Yes, It's wery different. Classical guitar has a lot more of focus on the sound, timbre, coulor than flamenco guitar. Flamenco guitar is based on spanish folk music. I'ts like rock guitar, alot of improvistation. The technique is wery diffrent. Much more focus on playing rascados and ryhtm playing. I am a classical guitarist I don't play flamenco so someone else maybe can explain the diffrence better.

There is also a mix, called 'the Negra', which most of the flamenco guitarists use nowadays. SOme good examples are Paco and Monolo.
In this guitar, the sound and deepness of the classical guitar are mixed with the lightness and ferociousness of the flamenco guitar.
