  • Buddhist do believe in the soul dear and with compassion!

  • every human being, without exception, has the potential to awaken

  • I had never heard of her, but I find her ideas so deeply moving. I will definitely check out her books.

  • Very honest, admitting that a Buddhist can become as prejudiced and fundamentalist as anyone else if they are not careful. I have to admire that sort of unflinching honesty and candor.

  • We can still, "Clobber peolple with our peace songs!" She's great, very honest! A great teacher!

  • I find Pema Chodron very inspiring

  • Our soul grows through adversity.

  • @fogggygyrl Buddhists don't believe in souls dear.

  • I deeply love Pema Chodron and Bill Moyers.

  • So do I!

  • the world seems to be coming down. It's always there and I can always find it and nothing will ever knock me off balance again. I love this world and most all humans in it. (I know, I'm working on that "most" part. :)

  • I kept wondering why after this terrible experience am I drawn to be so kind to everyone and to reach out to others? But when Pema talked about this and the reaction of people after 9/11 and how even New Yorkers were kind and friendly to each other on the subway, I knew I had found someone who knew why, who understood why I was the way I was now. It was like the mothership had came back for me. Thank you, Pema. I understand my need and my resulting inner peace that can't be shaken even when

  • I wonder if those millions of people that America has bombed over the years feel that same inner-peace? What I'm trying to say is that the typical American's reaction to 9/11 was bullshit. The feeling was dishonest! You know why 9/11 was a shock? It was a shock because that thing that the US does to the rest of the world (terrorism) came home to America. It was the complete LACK of compassion for others mirrored back to America. In short, it was a Karmic event. Sometimes people fight back.

  • This interview was my first introduction to Pema and it changed my life. The "groundlessness" she spoke of I had experienced it through a great trama in my life but I didn't understand it. It made me a better person, a kinder more gentle me but I didn't know why.
