Mr. Olbermann is truly at his best when he takes this sort of level-headed, probing look into history, drawing relevant connections to the present. His tribute to Morrow is also appropriate here, and I'm glad to hear his explanation for adopting "good night and good luck" in his broadcasts. I can understand why Mr. Olbermann is getting so frustrated in his more recent videos given the current turn of events, but he should refer back to moments like these for his true source of power.

Mr. Olbermann is truly at his best when he takes this sort of level-headed, probing look into history, drawing relevant connections to the present. His tribute to Morrow is also appropriate here, and I'm glad to hear his explanation for adopting "good night and good luck" in his broadcasts. I can understand why Mr. Olbermann is getting so frustrated in his more recent videos given the current turn of events, but he should refer back to moments like these for his true source of power.

What is in the bill? Have you read it? Let alone the 700 page amendment that was slammed down like a week ago and then they wanted everyone to vote on it before Christmas! The republicans are asking that the bill be read and is it a stall tactic? Yes. Don't you think somthing this large should be fully understood before it is implemented? I do! It could very easily end up being a takeover in the end because while the governemtn does not have to make a profit, as a matter of fact they will loose money is my prediction, but that will simply be paid for by taxes or print more money. That is a fair point. Jesus came to Earth to teach people to live within a dictatorship and help others while not conforming to the dictatorial decrees. A moral law which is above the legal law. Love your neighbour and pay your taxes.

Olberman tries too hard to be like Murrow sometimes, and John Stewart. Talk about odd befellows. It will be fascinating to see if Olberman ever goes after democrats like he does republicans. His bias makes me want to vomit. Because you just know he does all of his because he's a dem.

I would go as far to call Olberman liberally inclined but you cant deny that it provdes much needed balance to the washington right wing spin factory that is Fox News. The few crooked fat cat do nothing Dems (and Lieberman) havent had the power that the GOP has been abusing so the damage they are doing or intend to do (like making Amendments to OUR Constitution) has not raised any flags just yet. But I'm sure when power changes hands scandel will follow and I hope Olberman will be on point.

Churchhill was not believed when he said Germany was a threat in his time, the same can be said for Rumsfeld and this Administration trying to address the threat of the Islamic extremists. It was not the intention of Rumsfeld's comments to incite the anti-war opposition but to shed light on current events in the war theater. In all fairness, Murrow was guided by right and wrong and not politics in his reporting. This is politics.

Lets get this straight, Ronald Dumsfield got very few things right, and accomplished nothing positive for the world or his country. Just like history will record the Bush blight as when America lost its respect from the rest of the world and took one incedent of terrorism 9/11 which it was responsible for in ignorance or neglect of duty ignited the seeds of world war.

You don't know that. I'm sure you would also have accused Murrow of politics. Europe had already suffered a devastating war & wanted to avoid another one. Germany was a COUNTRY. The war was a CONVENTIONAL WAR fought by armies & the populations of the countries of Europe. Comparing terrorism (a tactic) & religious fanatics around the world to the threat of Germany is like apples & onions. You cannot "defeat" terrorists w/ conventional warfare.
