After having read about the 1936–1939 Arab revolt in Palestine (on Wikipedia), I learned things that I wasn't aware of before. I now must say that the Jews (and the British) didn't give the local Arabs a chance for peaceful coexistence. I see Egypt opened the Gaza/Egypt border recently. Feeling that is good for Gazan Palestinians I also know it could possibly be an entry for bigger rockets & weapons into Gaza. Also, Sderot and the other cities which get rockets were NEVER under ANY Ara rule and Arabs NEVER lived in them. Israel left Gaza and the Palestinians could build a great place, with tourism etc. They chose to kill innocent civilians.
