i didnt cry through any of the movie i only felt what Alex or Alans character was feeling i know he is going through with the autism my brother he has slight autism but sometimes he says and dose things no one would do he likes girl stuff although i think i have a tad bit of autism as do we all i liked to play with nerf guns and i like to draw and organize i dunno if thats even autism but i wish alan rickman would get on youtube and see all these comments.

If I had been Carrie Anne (Maggie I mean!) and that police guy said to me what he said to her, I probably would have said something to the effect of "F*** you" and quietly and politely left the scene. LOL Probably not the best way to handle it! :) She handled it pretty nicely, I think. :)
I loved the children's book. My 18 year old son is severely autistic. He is non-verbal. The book reminded me so much of what we went through when he was little.

That look on his face to me expresses real deep understanding, love, caring and, maybe my impression, real affection for Sigourney here. Not in a sexual way, just esteem.
