I own an '03 LB7 Duramax. I LOVE IT! Who would have thought that deisels would ever run like they do today??? It's an ego booster for me to smoke a sports car!
lots of people underestimate the diesel power, a good tune, maybe some tranny work and a 4X4 launch puts you pretty high up on the food chain. i try to stay away from them boys with my cts-v, i dont want them to hurt my ego lol
@jackassguy090 thats true i raced a friends buddies dmax from a dig in my 96cobra he had like two car jump on me from the start lol i was running him down tho got to his bumper when the crossed the line. he was sursprised i didnt get all bent outta shape when i lost lol

@7150285 maybe not some. but who can tell, you never really know whats really under the hood of the other car ur racing on the freeway if u dont know them, i was coming back to utah from working in wyoming. i just had k&n filter and mac catback. i pulled half car at first then it was nothing but diesel power passing me after that haha.
@7150285 im talking about the duramax i raced, not diesel cars. in my pretty much stock 96 cobra vs diesel trucks dmax 0-2 lol : ( cummins 3-0 : ) powerstroke 0-0 never got a chance hahah
@88taylor89 well, diesel trucks are good for 1/4 drag strip racing since they have a lot of torques but they usually tend to loose on the track or speed exceeding 120 mph......due to it's RPM range and weight of the vehicle and the aerodynamic of the vehicle
@7150285 ok true i see your point, all i was sayin is that i lost to a unknown modded dmax on the freeway i-84 inbetween utah and wyoming.... mountains and turns, its not like went to 140+ mph i didnt stand a chance against this certain dmax to 100 mph
@88taylor89 After some C heads, LT's, de-catted exhaust, IRC deletes, and a dyno tune and you won't have to worry about them over boosted trucks anymore. Well, most of them anyway ;).
@88taylor89 ur Cobra sucks since it was beaten by a 7500 lbs vehicle! and it's old since it's a 1996...get a 2010 dodge magnum or charger than it'll be able to take out any diesel trucks on the highway/freeway
@88taylor89 way to be a good sport. I drive a 2003 chevy dually with a 6.0L gas. Ive beat many powerstrokes, mustangs, and Hemis. I have an intake and exhaust with a 5spd manual trans. I got my ass handed to me by a new LMM duramax. he ran away like i wasnt pushin my gas. I swear that fucker was fast! lol. Alot of people race trucks here and everybody are good friends.

96 cobras aren't nothing special1 ive rode in plenty of mustangs and a Duramax with a good tune easily outruns a naturally aspirated cobra!
