@hogo3667 just FYI - metal was first a subgenre of rock'n'roll, then it became so big and evolved further that it eventually became it's own genre... so if you wanna keep it simple, you could say rock'n'roll, punk and metal are all the same (which we know aren't) just because they evolved from the same thing. and bands who play heavy metal (simply heavy metal, no power, death etc, just heavy) sound very close to bands who play hard rock. It just gets more rough, you know.
