I am dying to know what kind of wall covering that is in your studio. I have got to have that in my studio. Fuzzy white walls are in! Is it a shag carpet gone vertical?
Soren has one of the best approaches to guitar playing I've ever seen. He NEVER plays anything that isn't necessary. He's a fantastic player, sure...but there are a LOT of those. Soren stands out because he plays what is needed and suitable to the piece. I've never seen him do too much or play something that detracts from the song's character. A lot of players out there can really learn a lesson from Soren on not just HOW to play, but WHAT and WHEN to play. Good on ya, Mr. Anderson.
This is two years old, so I don't know if I will get an answer, but how in the world is he getting harmonic feedback on the Yamaha guitar (lead/fill recording) when the guitar amp is in a different room?
To the best of my understanding, that is not possible without a sustainer/sustainiac inside of his guitar, but I don't see one or any indications of a stealth unit either.
Those are the only two ways I know to get that feedback we hear, so I am definitely curious how that recording works.
@dave24423 - Hi Dave, - a combination of pinched harmonics, a guitar with good sustain and medium level in the control room is the trick here. There is a huge difference in how guitars react in the control room. My 335 can easily do the same, - but my strat can't.
Soren... I became a big fan of octascreamer by listening your sound! Could you tell me please if you're using it after or before your drive/distorition? Thanks! André Fugissawa/Brazil

@dave24423 it's the tc electronic Octa Screamer that he uses to get that harmonic feedback sound.

Hi odgeUK
That guitar was simply recorded with the following setup: Guitar -> Nova System ->Koch amp clean channel. Glad you like it!
All the best

The clean sound at 03:36. Is that just his valve amp clean with some effects from the Nova? Or is the core tone there all from the Nova?

I think it's all episodes together that covers a wide range of TC Electronic gear. Episode 1 was about Studio Konnekt 48 and PowerCore.
I'm looking forward to see next episode!
