This show is so subversive especially considering it's a daytime soap. It's amazing that it portrays the struggles of two women, who previously only had relationships and feelings for men, falling in love with each other. This really hits home for me when I watch Olivia talking at the bar. She is so desperate to understand why she is feeling the way she does. Also, I always wonder what Natalia wanted to talk about. I wish Liv could've stuck around for that.

Dear Olivia, When a close friend says they need you, you put your shit aside and be there for them. You know Natalia is not good at asking for what she needs or wants. She needs someone loving and open who won't steamroll her (i.e. not I-push-my-desires-on-you Frank Stupor). and my feelings about my sexuality were very hard but after some time, a lot of prayer and love it all worked out. That's why I think GL can write a beautiful story that allows Nat to still remain spiritual and even religious and be w/Liv b/c it can be done I live it everyday. GOD loves us all and wants us to love one another. So they can definitely make them a happy loving couple!! I can't wait to see how it all turns out. I just hopes GL doesn't drop them ball when it comes to those too!

I'm going to miss the consist presence of lesbian representation that the L word provides that's why I think I like the Otalia storyline. The L Word has gotten SO boring. They had one good idea - the telling of the murder of Jenny in back story and then that was it. They couldn't go anywhere with it - I guess that it is the last series it must have been a constraint but still- snore central. Only Bette and Tina are getting me through the last series! And yeah allison6071 - I too will miss consistant lesbian representation. The spin off of Alice's show doesn't sound great.

Crystal's site has a transcript. I tried to post the link, but it seems it didn't work. I say this, because my take on what Crstal says seems to be not the consensus given I'm probably being gaurded about every word that is said. If you go there, you might get a better gauge of what Crystal hinted at in the interview. Heck, let's just say it. I'm wrong most of the time.
I hope the writers don't blow this...the possibilities with these 2 women go beyond the fact that they are beautiful. They represent true love. It has nothing to do with the fact, as someone mentioned, "turning gay". They are soulmates and have found a love in each other that many women best friends have for one another, but are, too, afraid to express to each other. This storyline represents falling in love with the person...it's not a matter of "being gay".

She didn't say which wedding, but I'm sure it is Bill and Lizzie. And I think it's at the end of March, which doesn't help with sweeps, but then again, this is not exactly General Hospital (who does something every Febuary, May, and November, like a fire or a virus).
Yes I heard the interview, it was interesting. She said there would be some words said around the time of the wedding. She also said this has been in the works for a year now. She said they are trying really hard to keep it from being labeled something. That's the important stuff.
whether,it's for ratings or not don't really matter to me! otalias sl is one of the few genuine and sincere there is,divine intervention,the need for the human touch or the familiarity of the same being to find comfort,otalia has my vote!! cbs,does deserve all the ratings for creating otalia.
Also, Olivia telling everyone (including her rapist buddy) wasn't my favorite thing. I think I've made that known. I think that is part of what I meant by the hightened teasing for the ratings. Natalia praying for "something" is a tease too, but I tend to think that was for having premartial sex with someone she will never marry. I think she's naive about the whole situation and what it means to Olivia or whatever Olivia thinks it may be (cause she's crazy).
Sweeps are the time of the year in which they do Storylines that they hope will bring in more fans. I hope that they do something very special for these two, they are playing the you know what out of this storyline. Wait until Tuesday.
Sweeps are the months when advertisers set the amount they will pay for airtime based on ratings (ratings don't mean much otherwise). General Hospital usually has some outrageous umbrella story these months. It's very anti-climatic. Coop died for seeps on GL and I think they hightened the teasing of Otalia for sweeps too.

I agree with you Administradora I think Nat wanted to tell O about sleeping with Frank not her feelings. She's still searching for answers regarding her feelings so I don't think that's the convo she wanted to have. After looking @ alot of old Liv clips and it's like the writers have been writing this story all along. She's always talking about how NO MAN ever gets her and not giving up on her dreams of happiness/what she deserves but she's yet to find it. It makes sense she would fall for Nat.
She is a method actor, but I think method acting is misunderstood. You don't have to do something to make what you act work. You just have to be able to trigger a feeling from a past memory, whether that be being happy, sad, confused, emabrrassed, etc.
But if Crystal needs a younger man to study how to play a cougar, I'll struggle to help.

and my feelings about my sexuality were very hard but after some time, a lot of prayer and love it all worked out. That's why I think GL can write a beautiful story that allows Nat to still remain spiritual and even religious and be w/Liv b/c it can be done I live it everyday. GOD loves us all and wants us to love one another. So they can definitely make them a happy loving couple!! I can't wait to see how it all turns out. I just hopes GL doesn't drop them ball when it comes to those too!

Nope eriklovessoaps no tomato throwing here. I watched the L word but didn't like Bette or Tina so I would always get the evil eye but its gotten better over the years. I'm going to miss the consist presence of lesbian representation that the L word provides that's why I think I like the Otalia storyline. Its something that I hope will last a while and will be consist! Who doesn't like Ellen she's so funny!!!

The L Word has gotten SO boring. They had one good idea - the telling of the murder of Jenny in back story and then that was it. They couldn't go anywhere with it - I guess that it is the last series it must have been a constraint but still- snore central. Only Bette and Tina are getting me through the last series! And yeah allison6071 - I too will miss consistant lesbian representation. The spin off of Alice's show doesn't sound great.

Crystal's site has a transcript. I tried to post the link, but it seems it didn't work. I say this, because my take on what Crstal says seems to be not the consensus given I'm probably being gaurded about every word that is said. If you go there, you might get a better gauge of what Crystal hinted at in the interview. Heck, let's just say it. I'm wrong most of the time.

I hope the writers don't blow this...the possibilities with these 2 women go beyond the fact that they are beautiful. They represent true love. It has nothing to do with the fact, as someone mentioned, "turning gay". They are soulmates and have found a love in each other that many women best friends have for one another, but are, too, afraid to express to each other. This storyline represents falling in love with the person...it's not a matter of "being gay".

She didn't say which wedding, but I'm sure it is Bill and Lizzie. And I think it's at the end of March, which doesn't help with sweeps, but then again, this is not exactly General Hospital (who does something every Febuary, May, and November, like a fire or a virus).

Yes I heard the interview, it was interesting. She said there would be some words said around the time of the wedding. She also said this has been in the works for a year now. She said they are trying really hard to keep it from being labeled something. That's the important stuff.

Also, Olivia telling everyone (including her rapist buddy) wasn't my favorite thing. I think I've made that known. I think that is part of what I meant by the hightened teasing for the ratings. Natalia praying for "something" is a tease too, but I tend to think that was for having premartial sex with someone she will never marry. I think she's naive about the whole situation and what it means to Olivia or whatever Olivia thinks it may be (cause she's crazy).

Sweeps are the months when advertisers set the amount they will pay for airtime based on ratings (ratings don't mean much otherwise). General Hospital usually has some outrageous umbrella story these months. It's very anti-climatic. Coop died for seeps on GL and I think they hightened the teasing of Otalia for sweeps too.

Method acting is when the actor 'becomes' the character. Usually they research the role by 'being' the person full time in the run up to the part. She is a method actor, but I think method acting is misunderstood. You don't have to do something to make what you act work. You just have to be able to trigger a feeling from a past memory, whether that be being happy, sad, confused, emabrrassed, etc.
But if Crystal needs a younger man to study how to play a cougar, I'll struggle to help.

I still think they could shoot it in such a way as for them to get together before then...because if you think about it, the episodes are filmed at least a few weeks to a month in advance. so if JL has her baby in June...comes back by mid to late june...we wouldn't see those scenes of her post birth until august. i don't think i can wait THAT LONG!
