It's unfortunate the Spinners were considered as sort of a "second tier" group at Motown, because they did cut some first rate stuff while they were there, I think. Their Tri-Phi releases still show that Moonglows singing influence from Harvey Fuqua. Great stuff!
MotownMaster, how would you arrange Gaye, Stubbs, Wonder, Ruffin, Kendricks and the lesser known male motown vocalists in terms of singing ability (a top 10)?
