I suppose the holes at the bottom are optional. I've never thought about it before.

Loved your box Dannie, Is it possible to post me the exact measurement of the box. This one is so much easier to make than the one I saw on weekly tv. No glueing involved. However I could hear clearly how you put your pretty coloured paper over the top, with glue or tape? Can I make the sides instead of 1",to 1 1/2" I think it will hold the cards better,
