My 76 year old mother was an extra in this commercial. It took two days of shooting and they had to keep moving the "crowd" to different spots to make the stadium look full. She was waving a floppy hat that you can just see at the finish line scene. I think she might have to start watching out for the paparazzi. LMAO. She had a lot of fun anyway. Not a bad gig for a 76 year old.

It was quite an amusing analogy like the other Ebay commercial with the prize "football" caught in the endzone. Why would anyone be insulted by a fairly accurate depiction. Auctions are competitions like the sports portrayed. It was adorable and well acted by all.

Great idea though. Ebay is almost become a necessity for certain people that they know they won't alienate them to the point they won't use their products.

This new one shows those newbies that look you race to get random stuff and WIN! If I saw it and never been on ebay, I would be attracted to it because it is different and makes it fun. You can always market capitalism as fun no matter how insulted your country gets.

You read a lot into my little paragraph that really isn't there. It isn't what the actors in the ad look like, it's how eBay is portraying buyers and disabled people in the commercial.
