  • i love love love the colour!!!

  • 440RWHP to much on a stock 4.6?

  • @SuRihtanil it's pushing it from what KB says. My buddy ran with that much power for 2 years and when he sold it everything was still running perfect.

  • sweet stang man. If you dont mind me asking, how much was the kb setup after it was all said and done?

  • @SoCalJohnston The Kenne Bell intercooled kits are $5,000 - $6,500 depends on a couple of options. They list all of their pricing on their website if you want to check it out.

  • @candymanjl you think if I buy a used kenne bell setup with low miles it would have downsides to my hp? And does the kenne bell have alot of maintenance that comes with the hp?

  • @SoCalJohnston No matter what brand of supercharger it's always going to be a little bit of a risk buying something used since you're relying on them doing all of the maintenance. That being said the Kenne Bell supercharger requires almost no maintenance. All you have to do is check the oil in the blower often and add if needed. Then once a year change the oil in the blower, nothing major or hard.

  • @candymanjl So theres no adjustments needed besides the oil? Cause I wanna supercharge mine but couldnt afford to get it maintenanced all the time

  • @SoCalJohnston If you are looking at a used kit just make sure you can afford the worst case scenario of a blower rebuild. I think it's $600 or so to have the blower rebuilt through Kenne Bell.

  • I like dodges but i gotta place in my Mopar heart for kenne bell mustangs.

  • @posty

the cobra is not an aluminum block.

    only the mach 1

  • @nightkrewmustang dumb mistake on my part, all the non supercharged cobra are aluminium i believe just not the 03-04's

  • @nightkrewmustang the New 2011 Mustang GT is an aluminum block too.

  • Anybody still intrested i have a 03 marauder motor 71k, and for the 2v a full rotating assembly mmr900 18cc dished piston

  • nomnomnom XD

  • 5 bills well spent

  • I have a new set of Manley rods and Dimond pistons in boxes if you are interested. Looks good I have a simular set up but now a built bottom end and more boost.

  • get a better filter get a high perfomance air filter and u will be pulling mor hp tq

  • no offense but couldn't you have made the same horsepower by boring .020 over, flat top pistons, cobra crank, and ported cylinder heads

  • the overhead valve has push rods* just to make that clear. I have a 2000 mustang gt its off the road cant afford it. And my brother is a Gm mechanic down at Anderson Chevrolet. So I learned alot from him and his foremen.

  • can u make a 2v a 3 or 4v?

  • I don't know for sure but I doubt it. the 2V has one cam and is pushrod driven, the 3V and 4V motors are OHC so it's a completely different system. again I don't know for sure but I bet the block are different.

  • actually what you have is a modular 2v all the modular family (2v 3v 4v) are over head cams. Ford stopped making the overhead valve engines in mustangs in 95. (foxbody 5.0 302) And the Blocks for the 2v and 4v are identical. same bore and deck height etc.

  • @keeperskillz24 your right

  • @candymanjl the 2v is a SOHC (single over-head cam)meaning no pushrods

  • @candymanjl mustang have not been pushrods since the old 5.0 a 2v is a sohc motor or 1 cam per head ohc = over head cam

  • @candymanjl the 2v does not have push rods. it is a over head cam motor like the 3 and 4 valve. it has 2 cams, one over each head.

  • the 2v is a single over head cam motor. not a push rod motor. @candymanjl

  • @candymanjl The 2v isn't pushrod, it's SOHC, the 3v is SOHC too, the 4v is DOHC. They stopped using pushrods on the 5.0.

  • @candymanjl 2 valve modular is also ohc

  • @candymanjl They are all OHC just need the complete heads timing chain cover all pulleys/sensors upper/lower intake headers ect.... its easier/cheaper to just do an engine swap imo.

  • @candymanjl Uh man sorry to break this to you but the 2V is SOHC just like the 3V.

  • @candymanjl no the 2v on mustangs is SOHC

  • yes you can. they are all the same block and you the 5.4 has the same heads as the 4.6

  • @Sk8FalIen yes you can

  • @Sk8FalIen you can make a 2v into a 3v or 4v. its mostly just a matter of changing the cylinder heads and some of the front accessories and a couple of other things.

  • @Sk8FalIen yes, you can make 4V

  • @Sk8FalIen candymanjl is completely wrong.... the 2v, 3v, and 4v are all OHC or over head cam engines and have the same blocks minus what they are made of... yes you can make a 2v into a 3v or 4v. it is not a easy or cheap swap though.

  • what all do you have done to it

  • in this video the car has Kenne Bell's base intercooled kit. it also has an off road X pipe and exhaust but I'm pretty sure KB says those don't add a lot.

  • the 2v is sohc. the block is different though the 2v is an iron block while the 3v and 4v(cobra)are aluminum

  • gotcha, makes sense.

  • @postty the 03-04 Terminator Cobra's are iron.

  • @mikebosshard your right mistake on my part forgot they changed back to iron on those

  • What else have you done? whats the hp now? Check out my gt with the 04 cobra motor swap when you get a chance..

  • it's my buddy's car, he doesn't have it anymore, 425whp was the most he ran on it with all the stuff from Kenne Bell.

  • get a k&n cold air intake and the supercharger will whine. I have an 04 cobra with stock eaton supercharger and after install of k&n intake that f**ker whines loud, a kenne bell supercharger with a k&n cold air intake will whine even louder. check out my video of supercharger whine.

  • in this video he could run an intake because it would have flat lined the MAF and run lean. after this dyno he got the kenne bell cold air intake, larger MAF, throttle body and new tune, gained another 30whp.

  • probably not, that kenne bell is small

  • yeah you don't know what you're talking about, nice try though :)

  • in fact i do, my good friend just KB'ed his 99 GT to try and keep up with my 01 vortech GT. his is pretty loud i guess, but its only the 2.2 kit, so he's only making around 390-400 at the wheel at 10psi. mine still walks his though, about a car to a car and a half no matter what speed we go from. the factory eaton s/c'ers on the terminators are much louder than the GT KB kits though, boost being equal and all. dont be so quick to judge

  • his car if messed up then if he's running 10psi and only making 390-400whp if you're talking about a dynojet. mustang dyno's read about 10% lower than dynojets so if that's the case the power is about right. this GT ran for 20,000 miles on 425whp on 8-9psi without a single problem on KB's tune. and this owner beats the crap out of his cars. this is what KB said was the safe limit on the stock motor and to their credit the owner didn't have a single issue.

  • actually I just remembered something. if your buddy has the stock intake, MAF, and throttle body he's going to be stuck right around 400whp. I remembered Kenne Bell saying all that stock stuff was a restriction and keeps you around 390-400whp. changing to their throttle body, intake, and larger MAF opens up the blower to be able to make more power. my buddy got the 75mm TB with their "big tube" kit with the 90mm intake and 90mm MAF and that's when it went to 425whp without raising boost..

  • yeah you're probably right. he has the sct tuner maf, but on the stock intake with a k&n filter on it. his intake is pretty restrictive, but my gt has a 75mmtb, accufab upper plenum, and 4inch MPH power pipe intake with a bigger maf too. maybe thats the difference between our cars. oh and he still has cats too

  • my buddy had exhaust and the off-road X pipe, Kenne Bell will say those don't add a lot of power but it's gotta do something, 5-10whp. I know on the 05 and up they actually tested a 775whp setup and swapped different exhaust parts one at a time and stayed right at 775whp. but the S197 exhaust is much higher flowing than the 2V setups.

  • wow so completely stock internals. hard to believe! haha what kit is that and how much does it run about?

  • I think the kit was about $5,000. Kenne Bell said this motor was good till about 500whp and then you need to build it.

  • 500 at the wheels is nearly 600 at the crank which is over the stock limit. A safe setting is 400 rwhp and 450 rwhp for the MAX.

  • they were probably talking about the 3v modular motor

  • no this was back before that motor was in production.

  • agreed, 500whp is a good bit too much, about 70whp too much. if everything is optimal that is (low mileage motor, synthetic oil, etc)

  • friend here in town is running a single turbo 15psi 720rwhp on stock internals no lie seen the dyno sheet its all in the tunning

  • yeah crank not rwhp bro after around 420 u should be concerning about ur rods and pistons

  • just going by what Kenne Bell says, they know what they're talking about :)

  • True that...i risked it until about 430rwhp then i threw in a MPH Short block bullet proof KB 2.1 Stage II engine, crower level III blower cams,100 shot, full bolts and 315's..638rwhp beast 10.40@131 on fresh aggressive tune.lol fuck GM LS motors...

  • ha ha, that's sick!

  • WOW did you copy and paste all that off the website.. how do you fit all that in a tinker toy replica 1:8 scale car??? :)

  • fuckin sweet bro! gm sucks

  • @LS1Killer01GT damn how much did that cost u?

  • u running stock internals?!

  • all stock, Kenne Bell said the motor is good until you go above 500whp.

  • nice! can't wait to do my 2.6L. I wish I didn't have to get internals rigth away though

  • you're gonna love it!

  • STOCK CAI? WTF?

Anyways, nice KB, im going for that setup also. And get a damn CAI on that thing!!! It's being starved.

  • in this video it still had the stock MAF which runs out of gas at about 400whp and putting the CAI on would have put it over the edge and it would run lean according to Kenne Bell. after this video he got the Kenne Bell CAI, throttle body, MAF, and flip chip tune. power went up 30whp on the same boost, pretty cool :)

  • Those are some good #'s for 9 psi.

    03 GT

    Procharger P1sc 10psi,

    Accufab plenum, BBK/Roush 75mm Tb,

    90mm Lightning MAF,

    BBK O/R H pipe, Flowmaster 40's

    Swarr Auto SCT tune @380rwhp/375rwtq.

I could've gone for more HP but I just wanted a safe tune and a engine to last.

    LOVE THAT BOOST.

  • yeah that was the conservative tune since we were at the limit of the stock MAF. after that dyno we added the Kenne Bell MAF, cold air intake, new ecu tune with 100 octane mode, and throttle body. According to Kenne Bell the car should have been at the 425whp on 93 octane. I believe it since it was moticably faster, it picked up 3 tenths and 3mph at the track. We never re-dyno'd it to find out what it actually put down.

  • How many miles on the car when installed, and how many now? Sounds great!

  • the car had about 5,000 miles when the kit was installed, it was my buddy's car and he sold it a little while ago. had about 30,000 miles when he sold it and it was still strong as ever.

  • yea i just got the kenne bell charger for my 02 holy shit what a difference this car is from stock i love it.

  • ha ha, nice! yeah, just a little bit of a difference :)

  • bottom end is stock, if I remember right Kenne Bell says you're ok on the stock bottom end until 500+whp. definately go for the intercooled kit, it's more money but so much more power. without the intercooler it'll get heat soaked after one run and be noticably slower. intercooled and you'll be nice and consistant :)

  • Do you still have the stock bottom end in the car or is it upgraded? I'm looking to buy a Kenne Bell 2.1 charger for my 2002 GT and can't decide between the 6psi non-intercooled and the 9psi intercooled one.

  • go 9 psi intercooled the extra money is worth it like candy an said you lose power after a few raced without the intercooler because your not getting enought cold air through the engine your getting air but not cold air like you should so go 9 psi

  • i have a 2004 gt ,procharger,8lbs boost,thats the max,unless you want to break your stock motor...

  • yeah, Kenne Bell says to stay around 400whp to leave a margin of safety, basically just run their kit at the stock boost level. after that you need to build the motor.

  • how much did the kit cost you?
