  • one of the greatest rock songs i ever heard, powerfull, complete,in your face

  • Best version of one of his best songs. Beethoven and Mozart never made anything better. Great harmonies. I must have listened to parts of this a hundred times since Youtube came about. And hundreds more of the oringinal album. The drum solo is a little different, but I like the liberties he takes with it. A great example of why so many musicians with classical tastes like heavy metal too. Still want to know who the other guitarist is. Doesn't look familiar from his tour pics.

  • Brilliant LIVE version of a bad assss piece of metal.Alice was on top of his game as per usual.LOVE it xx

  • @nicistyx Yes, sure, for me it's a masterpiece from his songs!! Many don't know really this great sound of this song!

  • Best live version. The guitars harmonize perfectly.I recognize Rebel but don't know who the other guy is.

  • ALICE COOPER, I LOVE YOU!!!

  • orcstar you're right.

  • orcstar you're right

  • also, easily the best live performance of this song

  • Gah, why couldn't he have done the bass solo the way Neal Smith did it? He sure hammered on the bass drum enough, sounds like shit compared to the original version. Do like the keyboard in this version though

  • @sapianddog thats cuz this band is probably used to heavier music and sounds like and heavey metal drum solo with all that double bass

  • Best Alice song every, What happend to buxton and the rest off the spiders?

  • @VamboMarbleye1956 just foud out he die 97 shit

  • @VamboMarbleye1956 yeah smith is doin real estate now, dunaway's playing in bad bands, and bruce is just playing locally, though there are 3 songs on alice's new upcoming album which were recorded by the original band...well, all except buxton, of course

  • This hella sick shit!

  • Halo is FANTASTIC!

  • @ShenkerScorpions That's most indeed Reb Beach. The other is Ryan Roxie . Reb and Ryan Roxie were part of the touring band of '97 when this was filmed as they are also on '97s live release " Fistful of Alice."

  • Heard the "Killer" album when I was 14..... changed everything. Mom was not pleased. ;-)

  • @TacomaPaul Tone deaf Mom? Not her fault. Mine is tone deaf too.

  • is that Reb beach?

  • I saw the original AC band do live in 1972.

  • All these years and still it makes me feel Sixteen again.

  • Gods, although his voice is not the same anymore, this music still FUCKING AWESOME!!!

  • I like how Alice orchestrates the band! So Cool!

  • Saw him live in goold ol' Bay City.

    Best. Concert. Ever.

  • ay va la hostia, tengo de devil inside, como diria robert shaw en tiburon,, coooooooooooopeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrr.

  • Great song, but it's a pity that the bass player is denied his half minute of glory.

  • Hello John Mullins.

  • Finally. A good strapin' version and the levels aren't high enuf. 2lo Needs Volume . Missing Umf

  • YEAH! Best AC jam!

  • I dont know why but this song is really awsome to listen to on halloween.

  • des mois, des semaines, des jours, des minutes, un siecle peut etre et surtout ALICE COOPER.........MERCI

  • great version , its a pity anybody has this song played by the best and only original line up , any way a give five stars

  • ill be seeing the old man in merrillville indiana in july. very nice video, thanks

  • This song is just as badass now as when it came out in '71. Not many bands/musicians (Black Sabbath comes to mind) have that kind of staying power. This is probably my most favorite song of his to play with The Ballad of Dwight Fry and Go To Hell being second and third respectively. The only thing that pisses me off is that he's NOT in the Hall of Fame. Complete bullshit since he's one of the most influential performers in the industry.

  • i want that drummer to play for my band. it is not charlie watts, it is not ringo. that is why i want him....i like what he does. i am am a guitar player, but i want that drummer in my band. thank you... Detroit

  • @teden20 It's Jimmy Degrasso, but he's been back with Alice since last year, so unfortunately for you, I think he's kinda busy ;-)

  • @NewSchumalice well if you havent heard, almost the entire original band is getting back together most likely

  • @Dillbob1 Actually, the original band is probably going for a small reunion tour (5 or 6 gigs at most), but the current band is still around for a whole 2011 tour

  • I never saw this one. Thanks for posting. I LOVED IT !

  • drum solo is awsome

  • epic best live version from alice

  • I saw him in Glasgow in 97 when i was 8 years old & it changed my life.

Halo Of Flies was the stand out song for me.

Long live the Alice Cooper Group.

  • forgot to say the album is 'KILLER'... ALSO INCLUDES the megHITS under my wheels-- be my lover--desperado--u drive me crazy---yeah yeah yeah---dead babies and... killer.Go buy it u little ceasars....and at front a photo of Alice's boa 'Kachina"

  • hey.. it's not "you drive me crazy" (that's Britney's bullshit) .. it is "you drive me nervous"

  • I've been hearing this song for 30 years and still every time my hair goes up!!!! I am holding right now the original vinyl in my hands, at the back cover a photo of the original 'the Alice Cooper Band' a band that if had stayed together it would have been NO.1, due to its excellent players but most of all great composers. the last 2 min of the song are all the money. we love u alice....

  • The drummer is spot on!...great song, thanks Alice!

  • We're up for that.

  • fuckin crazy.... possibly his best song!

  • @murphmanin hello! la meilleure plus desperado!!!

  • Anyone know who the shorter haired guitarist is in this vid. I know the other guitarist is Reb Beach.

  • I Think this is Ryan Roxie?? hmm...

  • Ryan Roxie.

  • Ryan Roxie.

  • what an orgasmic ending

  • Great version. A well constructed piece. Alice sings ok, but his old band put together some pretty good MUSIC. As good as Bach and Beethoven,

  • OMG. That was perfect. I know every beat, guitar riff, word, to the Killer album and this is so close to the studio version. Amazing!

  • Why did he lose the original band? These guys are obviously playing as close to the original as possible. A cover band, fronted by Vince?

  • @lenzorizzo

Alice (Vince) Wanted to start expanding on the theatrics while Michael Bruce and the others wanted to cut the theatrics and stick with music only from what I've heard/read. Rather than fight it out, they parted on fairly good terms, if I remember correctly.

  • Love this..Thank you !

  • guys vince is brilliant, he can sing plus his vision took him to where he is now.. check out his 1973 interview in finland.. its really good.. cheers to a gr8 man..

  • If there's a better hard rockl album than "Killer" I haven't found it. Thanks for uploading this!

  • there is one, it's called Love It To Death lol

  • Really GREAT * - Thank you *

  • i detect a little douchebaggerery going on here! what is the reference to the 80s??? i just dont get it! and as far as rude connotations go. that is your emotinal coloration, not mine.

  • this is fucking kick ass!!

  • One of the best rock songs of all time!!!

  • i agree.

  • more like THE best rock song of all time!

  • OK de drum solo is niet echt overtuigend..maar je mag een studio versie NOOIT vergelijken met een live optreden.!!

  • jimmy degrasso on drums here, not eric singer. Eric singer started playing with alice again in 1999 after brian may's ressurection tour in 1998.

  • What do you mean? There's nothing wrong with the drums

  • how can i put it any more clearer then what i already said?!?

    the drums sound like shit.

The drummer uses way too much double bass too where it's not even enjoyable.

  • you seem to think someone here gives a fuck about what you said.Sounds good to me.

  • and i'll tell you why,

    your not a musician,

and you obviously do not have a musician's ear.

that's why it sounds good to you.

  • Gee I wish I could see you face to face.I would give you 20 cents to ring the smith family to tell someone who gives a fuck.I'd say you had better get that musicians ear of yours tuned, preferably by someone with a good ear for Alice Cooper

  • And if you had any ear at all, you would hear how shitty cooper's voice is and always was. Now i like alice cooper, but it is so obvious that he could never sing. Producers can do wonderful things in the studio.

  • If you took Vince's voice away It wouldnt be Alice Cooper would it?So who would you replace Vince's voice with? This ear of yours must be a wonderful thing.I've liked AC since "pretties for you" and never realized that AC sounded bad.:0( damn I must have defective ears.I'll forth with consign all my original AC records to the bin.

  • Now either you can't read or you have a severe case of dyslexia,

because i said Producers can do wonderful things.

  • I can read and on m'I ton Dyslexic.I'm being sarcastic....alas to no availe.Fact is I like Alice Cooper.I like the studio albums.I like the live shows and have seen a couple ,years ago and thats that.Opinions are like arseholes in that everyone has one.Now you just run along there sonny and bother someone else.

  • arse? lmao, don't tell me your irish.

Dude, i like alice cooper too. I've seen him several times, even before he was famous just playing small halls in detroit.

And the fact is, he can't sing.

  • Aussie actually. And I'd much rather arguing over manmade global warming or lack thereof than about Vince's voice.I see your a bit or an old fart too? ;0)whats Imao?ciao

  • This song is one of Alices best

I agree that it sounds a little too 80's ish then it should but really it's still well performed

  • didnt this come out in 1970,71 hows that 80s ish.

  • I'll answer your question even though it has rude connotations and isn't really a question without a question mark.

You are correct. The Alice Cooper studio version of the song was released in 1971.

However , this is not the studio version.

The guitar player plays with an 80's style/flair thus giving this version of the song an 80's flavor.

  • Is it Reb Beach with the red pants?

I never knew he'd played with Alice...

  • Reb Beach and Kip Winger both played with Alice Cooper

  • @mlmr11 Paul Taylor from Winger was also in Alice's band at the same time as Reb. Not sure of 1997 but definitely 96.

  • lol, his voice still has that sand-paperish growl to it, idk why the fuck u want him to hit a high note anyways. And for 61 he still kicks major fuckin ass, i fuckin idolize this guy.

& hes good lookin to... *sigh*, why couldnt i have been born just a couple decades earlier?!?!

  • This song on the studio album was the best Alice Cooper of all. Do yourself a favor....put this cd in your car....turn up the speakers and you'll forget about anything else going on in your life.....what a fucking masterpiece of a song.

  • Great song!

  • One of Coopers' Best Songs. For the Record, the Drummer Kicks Complete Ass. They all Do. Thanks for Posting this.

  • LAY OFF HIM ASSHOLE!@!!1!

    Oh...ok...nevermind.

  • Right on man, there old, the song is still a masterpiece. But then im talking about when he recorded it in the studio back then.

Now he is to old to give me that vibe of "Hell yah" He sounds simply bad.

    Still all respect for Iggy.

He is still in the run after so many years. And in this vid the drumsolo sucked ass compared to the original.
