  • awesome!!! my nile likes to jump from my hands to my shoulders, but if he jumps any other way, its to get away from me lol

  • How much did u get ur water monitor for

  • how'd u train it to do that and for the other ppl how do u train ur water monitors

  • He learned it on his own. I never train my lizards, just work hard to earn their trust.

  • how do you earn their trust? I've worked with monitors(ackiies-and a water monitor that sadly didnt make it: she was in even worse shape when i first got her) and the shyness never seemed to go away-im also not one of those types that "pokes and prods" my animals... especially monitors-if they dont want to be handled, its best to leave em be. Besides the one of two ackies i own now i've never seen any trust build--the one that trusts me was just born that way... always juping out the cage at me.

  • @Hand2HandCombatFan

i know its a year later but over time they usually tend to gain trust

i rescued my savannah monitor and he was the meanest thing in the world..the lady who had him didnt take care of him he was skin and bones...missing 2 toes and almost all of his nails...i jus fed him chicken everyday(hand fed to build trust faster)he bit me a few times and it hurt like hell but i held him everyday and hand fed him now hes like a little puppy...but it takes a long while

  • smart lizard
