At the noob levels, Ike is the best because he is so strong and everything. Noob players can't play very fast and stuff so, they get lazy and use Ike ^^

But once you get advanced, Ike gets REALLY hard to play against the speedy types because, he's so friggen slow and the little mistake you make is fatal, you get owned! ;O. So good players with Ike are very pro, because they gotta time well EVERY move they make.

@PRIDEFC17 Haha Roy was awesome but too awesome for the game. So they replaced him with Ike. Ike is really strong, but has TOO many weaknesses. A lot of pros dont play with him since he has bad recovery and speed.

Before anyone gets upset, I like Ike. I really do. His moves are cool, he's got great power, and his Final Smash is kickass! However, he's a little too slow for my tastes. Yes, I know that he has fast-ish moves like neutral A and side B, but that severely limits his fighting style and makes him somewhat predictable. Plus, his recovery is absolutely horrendous. Marth is faster, less predictable, has a comparable reach, and also has an awesome final smash. Marth wins in my opinion

I don't like Ike in fights. Ike is almost always forced to that the opponent make a misstake to get a kill, his attacks have so large and he's extremely vulnerable if he misses an attack. He also has very short recovery and an extremely predictable recovery, his side b easily blocked, but though being predictable, his up is quite hard to edge guard. But he has amazing power. A misstake gameplay is not so good in highly skilled matches.

Honestly, I think Ike has been changed and nerfed a bit too much from his games.

Okay, so Ike is really tough in raw strength. But, he's too slow, and his Aether was just completely destroyed. Ike is actually quite fast in Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn, and Aether is supposed to heal Ike while dealing some good damage, a perfect runner-up for an FS.

Another thing, though I'm not TOO bothered by this, since Ike would just be completely broken... Ragnell had a ranged attack. :P

C'mon ppl sheesh it's not like Ike's invincible.I think King Dedede is a bigger threat than Ike.His knockback is just about good as Ike if not equal.He is a heavyweight who can recover at long distances,making him very difficult to ko,and has a projectile special side move.Ike is powerful,but he has weaknesses that ppl don't pay attention to.Too many ppl r thinking he's cheap cuz of his high knockback which is very stupid.

Meh Ike is ok but what really annoys me is that everyone uses him. All my friends use him and about 60% of wifi players use (only about 3% are actually good with him). Most likely, but killing at 30% is at the lightweights and noobs abuse his smash attacks which is stupid,ppl playing as ike need to focus on his quicker attacks more then when your opponent is vulnerable then use smash attacks.

The problem is that Ike doesn't have too many faster attacks. His B Air and Side B definately and possibly his N Air and D Tilt but that's about it. His dash attack is pretty decent to.

I really don't really like people calling Ike cheap or overpowered, he's just as balanced as the other character. True he's ridicilously powerful, but most of his attacks are slow and if you watch carefully when playing as Ike, some of his attacks lose strength when your too close. So anybody thinking Ike's cheap doesn't really know any of his weaknesses.

Ike and the reat of the strong characetrs are not cheep except maybe Falco or Captin Falcon cause they are strong and fast . If Ike or Bowser have the phsique the already have combined with Sonic or Falcon's insane speed the they will be cheap.

Ike isn't unfair or anything. Since he is kinda slow with attacking, any good player would be able to easily counter his attacks.

Ike requires a bit of planning and patience if you wanna beat anyone above noob lvl.

I know this cuz I got owned at a tournament and I picked him cuz I never played brawl really. But now I know that I gotta use those attacks at the right moments and anticipate what the others are gonna do.
