Vowel sounds are pretty hellish! 'Set' instead of 'Sat' etc. Also conductor is so laid back, he's pretty much horizontal!! Sang this on Sunday with NYCoS and this recording barely sounds like the same piece of music - it has little energy, paricularly with the guys part at the beginning.
It's alright about pronounciantion but it's very slow especially in parts that should be faster. The tuning is perfect because after all they are German!
If you look into the Oxford English Dictionary, you'll find a schwa as vocalic sound of the second syllable in "eunuch". A schwa is definitely not spoken like a "U" as you suggest... Therefore their pronunciation isn't that wrong. (I'm very sure that Jone's Pronouncing Dictionary agrees with the OED!)
In a nutshell... For a German choir their pronunciation is very idiomatic! :-)
@halfallias No, actually their diction is terrible. But let's cut them some slack. Singing in English is extremely difficult, even (and especially) for native speakers. It's a great piece of difficult music and they have some excellent gestures.

What are you talking about, they're pronunciation is fantastic. Notice the clear word endings. It's just the recording that has poor audio.

example, their pron. of "eunichs" should be eunUchs. Also their pronun. doesn't sound very english.

@ashuduanna
Let us agree to disagree :)
Regardless, the Monteverdi Choir gave an excellent performance.
