  • 6:26 "a cup of sake" no wonder the Kamikaze pilots were crashing even right after take off. (joke)

Japanese fighters are such a poor choice for kamikaze attacks as they can't dive or take any damage.... then again, resources shouldn't be wasted on such, well, half assed attempts.

Also, Kamikaze means divine wind, not wing

  • @MingGuoLi Did I wrote "wing"? My mistake then, if I did... of course it is a "wind" and not a "wing". Typo...

  • what music plays at 6:30 please tell me.

  • Crazy Japan soldiers))

  • Yes a new episode cant wait for more!

  • Interesting fact is that they had a high hit ratio to the training they had. The perfect cruise missile that can't be jammed or fulled electronically. I remember the famous phrase of the Japanese general that oppose the attack on USA. So after the attack on Pearl Harbor he said "We have woken up a tiger" he was laughed at the time. How could the stupid Yanks beat them-Well it happened.

  • @BOROZ28 "How could the stupid Yanks beat them"

This thing with "stupid" Yanks is just a stereotype. If education of majority of population is below average, that doesn't mean that they don't have smart or even ingenious people in key positions. If average Marine private is half-illeterate immigrant, who just want to take a ticket into American society through military service, that doesn't mean that his General is a dumbass too.

    ...

  • @BOROZ28 ...

Starting from American Civil war I can't find any major operation, where American troops were acting like "stupid Yanks". Military tradition in the USA is quite strong and education of officers is at quite high level.

I don't know if you are some kind of anti-American and if you consider Americans as enemy, but even if you are, then underestimating of your enemy by thinking that they are just bunch of "stupid Yanks" is not quite correct thing in Art of the War.

  • @BOROZ28 LOL LOL No...I don't I am from North America-French Quebec. LOL I was trying to quote the propaganda made by the Japanese about Americans how dumb they where-you misunderstood me. The fact is that the US army lacked experience and equipment to some extent prior to WW2, but WE are quick learners and war was a football much for us. Just joking-Newer underestimate you enemy if you have one.

  • @BOROZ28 Ah ok. Yes, indeed, Japanese were calling Americans as a "pale-faced barbarians". I guess it is a common part of any Nazi regime to underestimate their opponents.

Hitler was saying that Slavic barbarians are not able to produce high quality tanks. Meanwhile T-34 in 1941 was much better than German Pz III and IV. Goring was saying that under-developed Russians can't learn art of aerial warfare. Somehow more than 80% of Luftwaffe aces perished on Eastern Front.

    War is the best teacher...

  • BitnikGr, its "divine wind". :D

  • @ashleybynes nah english miss translate this meaning. it acutally means "god of wind" they call so the empire call it "special attack forces". since the west religion is dominated by christian and catholic, god can only be named for that god that created human existance. so they replace the "god" part with "divine" whihc when u translate back to japanese is meaningless.

  • @jack99889988 Yeah if you split the word Kamikaze, its Kami = w/c is god in Japanese and Kaze w/c means wind. :D

  • @jack99889988 "the west religion is dominated by christian and catholic"

    Catholics are christians too :)))

  • @BitnikGr eh but they believe different amounts of gods lol.

  • @ashleybynes Well yes...

Literal translation would be "god's wing" or "godly wing", but I didn't like the word "godly", so I looked up in wiki about "kamikaze" and there was this english interpretation of "divine wing". Since it is more spread in English speaking cultures and since my translations has this target audience I used that expression instead of literal translation.

  • @BitnikGr Oh I see then :D I thought that it was a typo. Thanks :)))

  • BITNIK GR kindly use this font for your subtitles its much better imho.

    Btw good video thanks

  • People forget how effective the Kamikaze were, and, against wooden-decked American carriers, the result could be catastrophic. At least the British carriers had armoured decks, one of the main reasons the BPF were used to hit the Japanese bases in the Sakishima Gunto group of islands.
