    CHEERS FROM CANADA

  • Well, if you've got a Brit, Canadian, US and NZ'er in a fox hole with dull finger nail files facing 1,000 heavily armed enemy troops, ya' almost feel sorry for the enemy!

  • Awesome tribute and if its you who wrote and sang this you are awesome god bless

  • Our War. They Attached You Too

  • great video...

  • awesome song... greater video... never forget our fallen... they didn't forget you!!!

  • Why does everybody forget the Australians and New Zealand, never get a mention .you would think we never did anything in any of your wars

  • @fullwhitt - I'm sorry you feel that way. One of the images I used, the one where the 4 soldiers are walking together in combat fatigues away from the camera is of the Australian Army - I created this movie to thank MY soldiers, the Canadians - because I AM CANADIAN. I felt I needed to express my appreciation for what My Country's Soldiers have done. I am very proud of them - If you feel that not enough recognition is given to your Country's soldiers, why don't you make something for them?

  • @Didadragonfly i know ur country help us in both world wars wasnt ur ur hekp we porbly would lost

  • @fullwhitt - I've served alongside aussies on several occasions, and would gladly do so again if the situation ever arises

  • @fullwhitt Can I make a suggestion! Why don't you make a video clip(s) of Australian and the New Zealander Soldiers. Just asking?!! For if you make one I will watch it.

  • @fullwhitt

When I served, it was us, the US and you guys. And that was it. People who matter do not forget.

  • @fullwhitt i appreciate the sacrifices made by the aussies and new zealanders i love fighting alongside the allied forces because it is and always will be the strongest alliance on gods earth and nothing will defeat us

  • @fullwhitt Its up to your country to honour your troops like ours honours ours. We all apprecaite the effort from every country. Ive worked with the aussies and kiwis and we appreciate the efforts they made. Maybe you could do a video mate. What do you think?

  • @fullwhitt , i am a canadian soldier, and i know that you do the same sacrifice than us, the same losses, the same gain, the same buddys ect... but as i can see, i have to consider myself and my buddys, my element, my unit, army, gouvernement, ect to be really lucky to have so much tap on the shoulders by all canadians ( a bit less by people from quebec but.. still they do it their way)..

  • @fullwhitt , btw, do you thinkl we fight for you? no.. we fight to change the situation and the life of each of us for something better.. if you are military you should have understood that by long time ago..

  • Song is credited at the very end of the video, after the message of Thanks.

  • for god sake who sings this beautifull song ?? i want it

  • Liberty and freedom .... our soldiers are their champions

May their flag draped coffins be not in vain. Keep the standard high my brothers and sisters in arms. I solute you and your hard work and upstanding values. You will not be forgotten.

  • very nice but you need to remember there are also daughters and mothers doing this also

  • She can call it whatever she wants just as you can make one and call it Our soldiers, mothers and daughters! This is in no means disrepectful. Iam a soldier and have been for 20 yrs! My point is let her call it what ever she wants...she doesnt need your input! Cheers

  • what can i Say?

    Beautiful.

  • War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded sense of moral or patriotic feeling which thinks nothing is worth war is worse. The man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight nothing more than his own personal safety is the most miserable creature who will never be free

unless made and kept so by the exertions of men greater than himself. John Mills

Thank you Warriors for my freedom! You fought for us there we will fight for you here!!!

  • Thank you Brothers and Sisters of the North!

Still the Land of the Free because of the Brave!

    Thank you for your service!

  • Death before dishonor. Support our troops.

  • canadians are so different from americans.... ! more human! bless you!

  • one of the best tributes I have seen. thank you from one who has done a number of tours.

  • yea.. the US government is the real devil for helping a group of people defend their country. but the taliban is just making home made bombs and blowing themselves up on busy street corners but the US government is the devil.. no evidence that the US government did it or w/e you believe but yet thats what you believe.. truly dumb

  • That's why we hate wars !!! Beautiful video.

    Hugs from Brazil

  • If that is what you truly believe then it is you who is the fool. There is evidence that the Taliban was involved with the 9/11 attack. There were four planes not 8. The U.S did not create the Taliban. Why dont you read up on current events or history. Better yet go back to school.

  • but the towers do fall like someone planted charges before hand

  • Please stop cluttering this thread with comments about your disagreements with the US military/Bush administration/etc.

This video was posted to HONOR the Fallen and their grieving families.

You do them a disservice by debating here.

There are other places to debate.

Please do NOT do it here.

    Thank you.

  • @Didadragonfly I agree with you. It is to remember the ones that have served, are serving, and will be serving.

  • its also sad you have to send message to people directly cause you are running out of reasons to justify what you are saying so this way not everyone see it, but btw, to answer the comment you sent me in private, we are not in afghanistan cause we ''have'' to follow US, if it was the case we would be in Iraq as well, please before speaking and think you're smart, go see how UN and NATO work, cause you are totally an ignorant, sir

  • It's just so difficult to watch, but i seem to be drawn to it. I'm an Army Ranger wife...........I hope forever..............it's a hard life for both of us, but I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. My Ranger makes me proud!

  • you have no idea

  • Renegade, u r right i dont have any idea?

because u always look at others as a second class human. for u killing ONE MILLION innocent people is only a number, like 1 million dollar. but for me is Mothers who are crying for the rest of their life, for me is children raising without parents, for me is hungary people who run to Iran, Syria & other neighbors to feed their family, for me is people who visiting graves everyday & crying for hours. for me is people without food, electricity and water.

  • and you think i think this because?

  • these people are amazing. although they may be someone we'll never get to know, to you and me they are heroes. some dead and alive but no matter what, they will always be remembered for putting their life on the line to give us freedom and a might better life.

  • omg :O my dads best friend dennis brown died in afghanistan :(

  • way to go THANKS FROM YOUR NEIGHBORS SOUTH WIFE OF US NAVY CHIEF PETTY OFFICE AND AN AMERICAN ARMY SOLIDER MOTHER IN LAW AND US MARINE MOTHER

  • Its so so sad and just too true "CRY"

  • this brought tears to my eyes.

thank you for posting it and God Bless You and all our sons/brothers /fathers and Sisters

  • my dad is in Afghanistan :( ive miss him a lot

  • May god be whit him. Your Father is a hero God bless him

  • Why would you even post this, "Way to die for nothing people" You have no idea what your talking about. These soldiers ar dying not only to keep innocent people safe, but also so that your children won't have to do it when they are older! So keep your stupid comments to yourself, and just be proud you don't live in a country as crappy as Afghanistan. God Bless our soldiers who give idiots like this freedom of speech!

  • This comment was in response to Kubassa's comment, just in case nobody understands why i freaked LoL

  • i'm a canadian and am going into the army i respect those who fought before me

  • im from the uk not a soldier but i still respect everyone in iraq and afganistan god bless the soilders the pilots the medics and the seamen we thank you all

  • the name of the song??'

  • Even if its about money whyshould we pull our troops out. They believe with enough time and effort they can make a difference in afganastan help these poor people who without them have little chance at a good life.

  • Awsome video! Can you post this on the Facebook group "Support Canadian Troops in Afghanistan?". It is amazing...thank you!

  • Hi! There are 7 facebook groups with this name...LOL...which one do you mean?

  • May God bless the brave men N women around the globe , fighting for our freedom to live in Peace.

  • amen

  • From a British Soldier: The Canadians are also in the sh*t and prepared to make the ultimate sacrifice. Say no more. Good video also.

  • If you didn't want to sound cocky then don't say it at all and the man was correct in saying that Canada was in Iraq they may have lessened thier contribution but they are still there in and advisary and reconstruction management role...and before you argue, I was there and I saw them and spoke to them

  • Ya there are soldiers there just not alot. Mainly special forces and support units. Not enough though to actually have a major contribution or to actually have it as a war Canada participates in

  • Good video based on Canadas involvement in Iraq and Afganastan.

Picture of soldiers in the desert are Australian SAS troops.

The video depicts the same story for us as my son is also in the Middle East doing his duty..

  • just to clear it up

    i know it sounds cocky

    but canadas only in afghanistan

    hope your sons o.k man

  • Whether you agree with the war or not, this is not the place to state your opinions....

Thanks from us in the UK.

  • Keep your damn thoughts to yourself okay? This video is dedicated to the soldiers who go and fight and die, and if you dont support what they do thats bloody fine but just remember these soldiers will fight and die for you to keep you safe even if you believe they are fighting a false war.

  • Thank You for making that beautiful video!

My husband is currently on an 8 month tour in Afghanistan and we have a 2 year old and an 8 month old, and that video just touched me sooo deeply. I have never heard that song before until now, thank you so much for sharing it :)

  • They Our Brothers and Sisters

  • Saddam used many tool of killing many more of his people then we have in this war and i have come across his prisons witch where they thourched people and even young kid from 15 up. I am an american soldier and i am very thankful for the help canadian and coaltion soldiers. Most people there Welcome us most of the fighting comes into iraq from other places. I thank your soldiers for their sacrifice and They are in my Prayers.

  • Even if the whole world were to fight the US you could count on Canada to remain by your side. Really with us together the other sods dont stand a fighting chance lol. Long Live Canada and her Great Ally the USA

  • USA are not the good guys tho :/

  • Never said they were good. For there are no evil or good sides in war no matter how you try and justify it

  • Yes the innocent civilians are good cos they're not trying to kill anyone yet they're involve quite heavily in the war just for being in the wrong place most often ://

  • what can i say, war just aint fair

  • you are correct their is no good or bad we just stand for our own peoples

  • you said it man my father recently died in iraq and i plan to join the military when i am older

  • I am truely sorry for your loss i really am, i hope you succed though in joining the military. I myself plan on joining the navy soon so good luck. Also Happy New Year

  • Do not forget Britain.

  • How could we ever forget our own family?

  • Have a happy holidays everyone, no matter where you are.

  • Look hero this has gone on for a week now truce?

  • Hero there is a difference between the soldiers mission and the mission the government tells them to do. Be careful not to mix the two up or els you will be disrespecting good honest people

  • I say screw the government for being greedy but let our soldiers try and accompish what they went over to do. Dont trash them and their mission or pull them out before they cna do what they want to do which is give these people a better life

  • Ask most coalition soldiers from different nations why they go and fight and i guarentee a majority of them will tell you they do it because they believe if they work hard enough maybe just maybe they will give these people a better chance at life. Is that an unjust cause to fight? Take it from me i dont support why the governments fight evne if they just do it for power, i still support the soldiers who are willing to die to protect other people and give them and their families a better life

  • And your last lne doesnt make sense "If the coalition was there to help they would airstrike highways." I personally dont agree with the iraq invasion okay but the military wants to help these people and they are trying to help them. These soldiers die to help give these people a better life and to say they are just being killed for no reason is wrong. As long as the soldiers are willing to fight to help these people then i say go on fight for whats right. But the government can kiss my ass lol

  • I meant to say "If the coalition was there to help they would not airstrike highways."

You don't help people by fighting them, armed men in any nation illegally is asking for trouble.

  • lol i was thinking tht, cause it didnt make sense the other way. But ya armed men are going to get trouble and they know that, but that doesnt mean they still cant help. (still this is one of those regions where if soldiers and other international people arent armed and prepared properly they will still get trouble.)

  • Well help is a lot more convincing when sanctions are not imposed limiting food and medicine along with bombing campaigns way before the invasion began.

Also money is more helpful than shattering their economy and security and killing vast amounts of people beyond even what Saddam could ever do.

It's very hard to believe they're helping anyone and i all that i wish is that they come home. At least with the coaltion absence - we'll know if we're helping or not by what happens after.

  • Well im nto sure about Iraq but in afganastan i know we are doing good. We are giving money to the people, i can guarentee you that, and we put our own troops out in dangerous areas to patrol cities and help train the national army and police forces. I cant speak for iraq or american troops for they are not ours but Canadian troops and there mission in afganastan are doing good or at least rying there very hardest to help. But to really now if what we did will help we will simply have to wait.

  • Okay Canadian soldiers do seem to be more helpful but it's not the same for American soldiers. The Americans have this thing about guns and explosions - it makes many of them feel powerful and about 90% of them have ego issues.

They're not as professional and a "trigger happy" American soldiers is not a steep or unjustified sterotype. American soldiers have even been known to kill their own in what we call "friendly fire" even though it's not friendly at all.

  • i hear you, weve been on the opposite end of american friendlyy fire. Ex. US bomber drops anti personal missile on 4 soldiers doing parade training. But then again it wasnt the piolts fault either . He was a new recruit who while flying got hit by a bullet from our troops doing the whole gun salut thing and thought he was being shot at soo he fired just as an impulse. I think the only difference between trigger happy troops and our troops is experience. Recruits just dont have the same experince

  • Hmmmm, friendly fire is still the height of n00bishm tho.

  • are you from canada bitch cuz what you posted is what i take as an insult to my father who was recently killed in iraq. canada is great but what you said should have staid to your self

  • Just remember how many more farthers they have lost.

  • If it was about stealing oil why Iraq or Afganastan. Barely any good quality oil there anyway, it would be much cheaper and easier to set up in a safer location like northern Canada or southern USA.

Dont get me wrong i dont condone what the governments did, or there reasons for invading Iraq, but there is a difference between supporting the mission the troops fight and the one the governments want.

  • The mission is really what the government wants. The soldiers are just pawns fed agendas they want to hear but don't orintate their mission around.

If the coalition was there to help they would airstrike highways.

  • So you are telling me soldiers are being told to do what the government wants? Okay then what is it the government wants? Oil? Soldiers arent drilling for oil. The government tells them who to fight and for how long, they dont tell them how to complete mission or how to fight the enemy. Those people are the troops COs.

  • The soldiers missions are still to do with the objective of freeing the oil there. The people on the ground may not see that because it's desert and villages for them, the people at the top know what it's about and we shouldn't trust them.

  • it doesnt matter that much though if its for oil or not Most not if all soldiers fight for the people not the government. I agree we cant trust anyone who is in power because they are suseptible to greed but that doesnt make what our troops are trying to accomplish and worse. If the government want to be greedy bastards fine but if that means it gives our troops a chance to do some good in a place that has been plauged with evil then let them stay. Because really it isnt our troops being greedy

  • Your last two comments are biased. Just because you have superior firepower doesnt mean you kill more people. Ever hear of rules of engagement used by international militaries. Well it applies to coaltion forces. According to these rules we are not allowed to kill civilans on purpose. Of course there will be accidentle deaths but that is because the enemy hides within the civilans. You obviously are just starting to rant about how evil we are, and just take everything i say and turn it around.

  • No i've just seen a lot of bombings and airstikes on crowds. Do you think airstikes liberate people too?

  • Maybe in iraq there are more air strikes, but the coalition forces in afganastan rarely use aircraft for offense purposes unless the soldiers are in need of immediate support. But unless you can give me proof that airstrikes are used on crowds alot then your comment can only be counted as opinion based not factual

  • Hero if you would like to know more about what our soldiers do, especially in Afganastan then read the book 15 Days. It follows around a company of Canadian soldiers to show the public what there troops are doing. You will be suprised to hear some of the horrors our soldiers put themselves through to try and help these people

  • And the whole invaders thing, depends on who you ask. Some say the west are invaders while some say we are liberators.

  • The west have killed over a million civilians, liberation from life? LOL

  • Also just to tell you, im nto sure about Iraq but in afganastan, NATo soldiers go around to their old battle fields and pay the farmers or landowners compensation money to repay fro the damage caused by the NATO forces. So far canada alone has give over 100,000 dollars. If we were the oppressers why would we give our money away? I dont see the taliban or al-queada going around and paying the people for the damage caused by their bombs do you?

  • There's a big difference between NATO and Al Queda, one are the invaders and the other are on their own land. Who has more right to blow stuff up?

They'll blow our armour up if it's in their land illegally because they're simply too dangerous too allow. Consider their rights on EQUAL terms and you won't appear so biased.

  • Yes i dont dislike them for fighting back, but i dont think its right of them to blow up there own people either? do you think they have the right to commit mass murder whenever the want to?

  • It's probably not intended but if you've ever heard of "friendly fire" you'll know it's not just one side making these mistakes.

  • and why dont you stop your just starting to get annoying you keep reapeting yourself

  • Yeah well this stupid war in the middle east is more annoying in my opinion.

  • And for those that stay sure they still are worried but now they know at least there are people out there trying to keep them safe.

  • Well you remember the 1st Gulf war - the US airstriked a highway. Type in "highway of death" into youTube and you'll see footage of the carnage that western aggression can.

  • I dont condone what the US did but you have to remember that was a real war against a real army so of course there would be carnage. It happens in every war between two countries, so of course you can say that each army will be aggressive and destructive.

  • We're way more aggressive and when you witness the ruins left behind from a bombing seeing civilian buses etc you really must ask are these American bombers blind, stupid, currupt or pawns?

  • But as i said before we might as well stop because neither of us are swaying. While i disagree with you you have the right to an opinion as do i

  • Show me some proof and i'll stop - if your lying don't bother because soldiers have already filled me in.

  • You havent shown any proof either. Where i get my information is from canadian and other coalition soldiers who have done tours of duty. More often afganastan the Iraq though. I also get nfo from friends who used to live there also.

  • my cuz is in the war right nowand it i relly scary

  • Served in kandahar Afghanistan in 2007 with the canadian army, touching vid.. most soldiers and there family and friends go through exactally what this video shows, war times are hard times. RIP to all the fallen.

  • I respect soldiers but i hate people that use you guys for their own good

  • to tobo5906 i am in the military and have been to iraq twice learn respect man we put our life on the line for your freedom

  • For what freedom ? :D For oil more like it

  • I doubt you even know anything about the war. U say for oil cause others say for oil, but yet those troops fight and die not to make money or to give oil to thegovernment to stop the terrorist so that we can lve in peace without fear of getting blown up.

  • The war is provoking terrorism and we all know it's for oil.

  • Terroism has been around way longer than this war. Its only now in the worlds attention. And you dont see soldiers over there pumping oil there over there fighting the terrorist and trying to help the people. We arent digging oil wells were digging for water, and peace to give htose people a chance for freedom. The places our governments are digging for oil are in the beaufort sea, not in the middle east. Those are private industires digging there

  • War is the terrorism, it's spreading far more terror than a bunch of extremists could.

Some of us just can't ignore the glitches within 9/11 and the motives for such military presence in the middle east does seem very debatable.

We know how much oil the middle east has so you can imagine there must be some interest there and a lot they're probably already getting away with.

  • the oil within iraq and afganastan is no where near the amount of untapped oil in the US and Canada. Yes war does cause terror but it also creates safety and peace when it ends. THose extremesits cause much terror for people more terror then our militaries could possibly do. Iraq is debatable but Canadas missin in Afganastan there is no debate behind the mktives
