To nemusicgroup: are you volunteering to a) buy a roadable B3 b) buy the 147 c) figure out how to get John Evan's tone on the B3 you bought d) haul the Hammond/Leslies, and e) find room for them on the stages at clubs and smaller venues. Then, of course, "Wind Up" always sounds better on a 9 foot Steinway.
Commenters are complaining about the singers ability. I think he is very good. Very good likeness to Anderson back in the day, and isn't that what tribute bands are supposed to do? I saw "Beatlemanina" at the Pantages way back when, and I think they were the first real heavily promoted copycat act. I really enjoyed it, never having had the privilege of seeing the fab four in person. That's why I like tribute bands. After all, Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery!
@arklat Yes Arklat. I'm glad you like WARCHILD. See them doing Tull's BLACK SATIN DANCER on YouTube. Not an easy song to do... and they do a great job. They even have an all-female string quartet... like the real Tull had back in 1974-75.
@PaulHartXYZ Thanks, Paul. Are you involved with WARCHILD? That would be awesome. I am a huge Tull fan, but, I don't like everything they did, just because it's Tull. I saw their SFTW tour in Pasadena, CA.Best show I ever saw, and growing up as a teen in the '70's in Los Angeles, I saw a lot of shows. John Evans was stellar, but IA stole the show. What a showman he was back then. I think my fav album is Thick As A Brick. And of course, Aqualung. This Was is good, as is Benefit. Post back please!
WARCHILD would like to thank everyone for the their support (especially Paul H). All of your comments and criticisms are greatly appreciated because they give us food for thought and afford the group the opportunity to become a better band.
Cheers to all of you and the brotherhood of Jethro Tull tribute bands for keeping the spirit of Jethro Tull alive and well.
Sorry guys but you have not the character of Ian Anderson and Jethro Tull. I have seen the real thing here in the United Kingdom a few times and sorry to say but Warchild have no charisma.
I am going to see Warchild on Friday, Nov 14 at Sundance in Rocky Point NY. Me and my girls were there last Friday to see the Zeppelin tribute, Black Dog. Its a great new rock club. Tull rules.
Warchild is playing at the brand new Frank Cariola's Sundance 621 Route 25a & Broadway, Rocky Point (Suffolk County, Long Island), NY on Friday, November 14, 2008.
The thing I like about tributes to music is when a band puts their own ideas in the song and explore it. I wish he used some of his instead of basicly copying J-Tull entirely. You might as well have listened to the real thing.
Creedence County Rockers have opened for "WARCHILD" and I can say without any doubt ,THEY ARE THE BEST TULL TRIBUTE YOU WILL EER SEE !THEY ROCK !Sincerly, Lou Caruso ..Creedence County Rockers
...excelente banda cover. El sólo de flauta de locomotive es muy difícil, lo toca bastante bien aún que no tan fluído como Ian. La voz muy similar, en general muy buenos¡¡
How can anyone look, sing AND play the flute so much like a young Ian? Even the snarls and gasps are right on. Even his forehead is the right shape! Impressive.

I wonder what Ian Anderson think to look at himself here just like Living in the Past?
Great

Hi. It's your radio friend Bill here. My classic rock band Pulse covers a few Tull tunes. I thought you'd get a kick out of our rendition of Teacher.

I've seen WARCHILD 4 times and each show gets better and better. These guys get the TULL experience and bring it to stage with color and verve.

Yes Stegor... the lead singer Paul Caruso bears an uncanny likeness to Ian back in the early 70s.
Watching them live is like LIVING IN THE PAST.
And he's a GREAT flute player TOO.
