  • One of the best rockabilly records ever

  • My dad was the drummer on this. Gene Fitzgerald. He passed away last week.

  • @collideoverme My condolences. :(

Fine drumming on this number, very fine indeed.

  • @collideoverme r.i.p 2 your dad !

  • @boxajr Thanks you guys. It wasn't easy.

  • I am Honored to say that I worked with Mrs. Clara Lollar for 20 years and got to know the Bad Bad Boy Bobby Lollar himself personally. What a great man with some great stories to tell. She recently retired from her Quality Control Manager Position and I took her place in the seat. Best of wishes to her and Bob .......

  • Gale DID in fact play on Get Hot or Go Home. Here's a little trivia for you ; ) There were TWO lead players on Kerby's record.

  • grrrreat!

  • Came out on the Benton label from (as noted below) Dyersburg. The other great record on the label ('Train Whistle Boogie') by Charles Dean (as I remember) was written by Harmonica Frank Floyd, believe it or not.

  • Actually, the guy by the dairy queen did not play on this disc. His cousin did, Gale Irwin. The guy by the dairy queen played on John Kerby's " Get Hot Or Go Home " on Diane label.

  • Cut in Dyersburg, Tennessee, back in the day....the cat that played guitar lives near the Dairy Queen down from the old studio location...
