  • Man can Baby's sister sing. Damn she good.

  • they stole the melody from my high school alma mater. LOL O__O

  • The ''lady'' next to i forgot his name looks like a man... o . o

  • Gah, that last note that the sister hits is just aweful. Like nails on a chalkboard.

  • I never realized that was Katy Perry playing the role of Lisa. Fantastic early performance as a young star.

  • Was I the only geek that found myself singing this cheesy song from time to time after seeing this movie?

  • My alma mater is this song...RMU Pittsburgh PA

  • this is the song for PS 118!

    From Hey arnold!

  • MY favourite film!!!!!!! x x x x

  • i swear the one in the red dress next to the first singer is a man..

  • That poor little girl with the ukelele has that guy shoving his arm in front of her face every time they do the sweepy arm thing.

  • @RLviddy Yeah poor kid. To her credit, once you get a close up of her face, she is adorable looking. She reminds me of a very young Melissa Gilbert from the first season of Little House on the Prairie. It must be her adorable buck teeth.

  • "Annie Lisle" is the name of an 1857 ballad by Boston, Mass songwriter H. S. Thompson. ] It is about the death of a young maiden. The song might have slipped into obscurity had the tune not been adopted by countless colleges, universities, and high schools worldwide as their respective alma mater songs.

The song piano-organ version can be found in an 1895 book; A Collection of Popular And Standard American Instrumental Pieces Arranged For Piano And Organ, P. GROSSMAN'S SONS 192 pgs

  • Lisa needs to stop bouncing around!

  • Is their full version to this o atleast a longer version? PLZ SAY YES

  • MANY schools use this tune. The generic name is "Alma Mater", but the familiar tune is called "Annie Lisle"

  • WTF?!? Din kno my school used this song as the school anthem! LOL

  • Guy's a good singer even though he plays an asshole in the movie.

  • Kellermans 5th montage FTW!

  • Poor Lisa, her singing voice is terrible! She seems like a great girl though, funny and has her moments. It doesn't hurt that she's built too! I mean, look at that Rack! She'd be the one I'd be dancing with at the end. Hot!

  • Nobody puts baby in the corner.

  • Nobody put baby in a corner!!!

  • Does anyone notice the woman at 0:12 looks like Jackie Kennedy...Maybe a nod to the era the movie takes place?

  • woah almost a spitting image eh!?

  • I would like this so much more if the logo and music didn't pop up at the end!

  • it wouldn't have continued for much longer anyway; the music fades out after that.

  • lol i prefer this then the, "had the time of my life" am i wierd??

  • lisa's act is so bad that it's funny

  • I love Neil :D he's sweet and he's got '2 hotels' :D :)

  • Why did they let Lisa Sing? She is horrible!

  • ...because it's funny.

  • Niel :D

  • Annie Lisle was also used for Cornell's song (my alma mater). Which makes sense, since the "jerk" in this movie is from Cornell.

Man, I hated that place. Freezing-cold & rainy Bumfuck Egypt. Neil the jerk reminds me of quite a few of the people I met there. And the Cornell song ("Far Above Cayuga's Waters") always makes me think of the place as "arched against the Rear of Heaven".

  • UNC's, "Hark the Sound" as well.

  • lol..dis iz so GANXTA

  • big up tha handy massive ya dun kno big tune big tune selectaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • This song is also used at Treasure Island, the oldest surviving scout camp in the U.S., during their summer camp program.

  • lol at the end i thought it was the whole song. yeah thats funny

  • Hello, what is the resource of the music? is ist first played in the film?

beacuse Ted Ankara College Private School's, School March's tune and this music's tune are same. And Ted Ankara College Suggests that, they have made that tune in 1950.

But in some websites i have read that this tune is also used in some university marches in usa.

  • i'm not sure, internet sites can be really inacurate.

  • this tune dates back to annie lisle, written in 1857. any other source claiming credit for the tune after 1857 is definitely inaccurate.

  • annie lisle is the tune.

  • @aliscan

This is the tune from our Alma Mater at The College of William & Mary

  • to the tune of cornell university's alma mater "far above cayuga's waters"!

  • very brilliant song! takes me back to past.

  • goddamn I never realized that was Wayne Knight aka Newman on Seinfeld!

  • i always thought "dogs and music happily combined", now i realize i was wrong~~

  • lol!

  • hey I still think its dogs and music combined lol

  • Ha, its definetly dogs.

  • haha. Why in the world would they say 'dogs'?

  • holyshit? it has the same tune as my school song and ITS IN CHINESE?!?!??! lol wtf

  • Check out "Annie Lisle" in Wikipedia - don't just assume that the tune is unique. A famous rendition is Cornell University's Far Above Cayuga's Waters.

  • Also more famous UNC alma matter's "Hark the Sound"

  • @yahoouserlol u must be from Chung Ling High School... lolx

  • anybody have the whole song? it was the best one in the movie

  • It's available as a track in the OST... the movie doesn't feature the song in its entirety.

  • thz, I may get it.. for my mom of course :P
