Sure thing, as soon as I have some free time. And I like the series, but they're too bogged down by their impossibly low budget and bad production values.
Well, there should... That's what the network promised, but it's already been a year. However, it does take a while for new seasons of Russians shows, so who knows...
At least your writers aren't on strike like ours have been for the past couple of months. (Technically, I'm Canadian, but pretty much all the TV I watch is Canadian).
Lighten up! Several shows have been adapted from existing shows from other countries. Both "The Office" and "All in the Family" were adapted from British shows, while the British eventually made their own versions of "The Golden Girls" and "Who's the Boss".
I believe there's a French "Criminal Intent" as well.
NOPE! That was Finn (I know, I know...) So, that leaves the "plain looking guy" as Munch... He's a taf younger than his American counterpart and nowhere near as witty. (Some of his jokes did NOT translate well into Russian!)
ok so the russian adaptation is just supposed to be a carbon copy imitation of the american svu? hmm thats wierd it seems like it would just make more sense to create their own characters
They have to edit the characters to fit into cultures and the legal procedures have to be changed to fit in with the systems in that country. But all the adaptations use plotlines from previous franchises.
is it available on dvd? i Can't find it? If so, where can i get?

I know this is discriminating Russia, but shouldn't there be a Law and Order KGB?
RoldanIncorporated 2 years ago
Umm.... KGB was dissolved in the early nineties and it's a national security administration, having nothing to do with a police procedural. Idiot.
emlodik 2 years ago
I know, i was just kidding around don't have to be an ass about it. And it would be kinda funny.

Oh, really?
But the ratings of the version of these series (SVU & CI) are good in Russia, right? I mean, there will be a second season for each one, right?

No, it's franchise rule. They did the same thing in France and are currently doing it in England as well.

That's the theme song from Criminal Intent *not* Special Victims Unit. It's interesting though.

Isn't that what I mentioned in the description? They used the CI theme for the SVU remake.
