i have the mindstorms nxt 1.0 program and the ir reciever block doesn't work; the motors work for a split second and don't work again until 3 seconds later, like
@Dolmori First of all, the best way to contact us is via the online support form on our website.
This may be caused by IR interference or it may be something wrong with either the HiTechnic IR Receiver or the LEGO PF Remote. I suggest you test this in different locations to see if you can reduce possible IR interference. You may also try replacing the batteries in the LEGO PF remote. If nothing helps, please contact us via the online form se we can get this resolved.
@hitechnic thank you! i tried everywhere but the signal is still the same. so i think theres something wrong with the remote or reciever and ill be visiting your website too.
@Dolmori The problem is that the old LEGO firmware does not handle digital I2C sensors correctly. The solution is to upgrade to the latest LEGO firmware. - Thank you @Dolmori for discovering this.
@LinkShack The HiTechnic IR Receiver block and the Motor PID block work wiith NXT 1.0 as well as 2.0. Please contact HiTechnic support using the HiTechnic website.
@hitechnic The problem is almost certainly caused by the old LEGO firmware. The program and block will work with the 1.0 software but you do need to have at least version 1.05 of the firmware. Google LEGO NXT Firmware to find the latest firmware from LEGO.
I really like it. So, I will assume that you use LDraw system of tools to make that digital model of it? If so, what did you do to make those neatly connected wires? The wires that I see in MLCAD are just the male plug, and about two inches of strait wire. How is a full and curved connection made in this program? If you reply, which I hope you do, then please specify wether you used, MLCAD, LeoCAD, or other.
@HaydenStudios Thank you! The building instructions were created using MLCad along with LPub, and LDView to generate the instructions. To generate the cables a tool called LSynth was used. With LSynth, you add cable directives and the tool automatically generates the cable between the directives. For most of the cables, only four or five directives are needed to specify the cable path.

I lost my NXT 2.0 disc so I'm stuck with my NXT 1.0 disc and the IR Block worked on 2.0 but not on 1.0
