I work in debt management and consolidation so maybe our rules are different...all I know is it is my company's policy that the supervisor can only give out corporate info.
I get these time share and cruise offers all the dam time myself. I also get ones where they act like I bought magazines...so..go ahead and mess with the shady scammer calls...

And i want to apologize on behalf of douchey phone reps that you dealt with...my company would have fired them in a hot minute...also...reps cannot give out an address of the business but a supervisor can. Ask for a supervisor to call you back

@pika23 Reps cannot give out the address of the business? They are required to do so by Texas Telemarketing Sales Rule under the Business and Commerce Code. Also by the Federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act. Plus, Caller ID must be verifaible. Spoof Caller Id is illegal unless it is for personal use only. Instead of getting their supervisor, I would rather record their call and post it online. I know after I do so, They don't call me back because of bad publicity!!!

Well what happens is...your number may be on the national dnc list...BUT if someone gives your number out to surveys and other offers...it's like giving the marketers permission to call. I have been a call center agent for 5 years now...and trust me...if you have nieces,nephews,siblings etc...they can use your number for surveys and make a fake name

@pika23 If they do that, and claim that as a defense I have a tool at my disposal called "Discovery", and "Motion To Compel" during Discovery, I will send them a set of interrogotaries, request of admission, and send out a request for production. In that request for production, I would require them to produce such evidence, and if they don't I will get a motion to compel then if they don't comply I can get Contempt charges on the owner.
