lol, found this video again. and i must say, you are absolutely right about them fucking every sense of dragonball up. the whole atmosphere and people of the world in that movie just have that all around bad feeling that adds to the movie. and they left out one major thing: half of the citizens of the dragon ball world are TALKING ANIMALS! i didn't see any of those. and the world in dragonball is rather peaceful and care free, whereas the world in the movie just seemed depressed and too normal.

Did it make less then Rockdodile. That was great morailty film and it only made 8 million because people tried to make it's send more logical then possoible. Jaw revenge only got About 10. Street fighter made 40 million people like Nastliga Critic still say it sucks. That a go gross that maybe half of what Land before time mayde. I dought other sequel did not do that well. Sinnce the got tone down alot after maybe Stone Cold Fire or Saurus Rock.

they'll probably butcher Raditz and Nappa too. it wouldn't even be hard to have some one play Nappa. All they need is some muscular bald guy. But Raditz is whole different story. If they have him in there, he MUST have a long bushy mane of hair going PAST his knees. but they obviously have major hair issues, considering how they screwed up Bulma's hair.
Even if they miraculously found people who are similar enough to play the characters (given that a lot of characters in DB already look kind of western they could at least TRY) they'd still find a way to butcher it. They screwed up the personalities, which is why any honest fan I've talked to despises this movie. We could have dealt with Bulma having black hair instead of blue, or with Goku having normally spiked hair if they had kept true to the characters...

Oolong, puar, turtle, korin just to name a few of the main ones. what about pilaf's henchmen shu, mai's accomplice, or even the crooked fox who became friends with goku for one episode. they're everywhere on fictional earth, on an earth where race or skin color was not an issue. and for the record, the skin colors or nationalitys of the characters in dragonball were never stated in the anime, even if some were apparent like Nam. they never once stated the skin color of the saiyins

I remember the Monday after DBE came out; my friend(the biggest DB nerd I know) came to school and ranted all day about how it sucked Dragonballs, excuse the pun. When I asked why he went to see it in the first place when we knew it was going to fail, he just said 'he was obligated'. :facepalm: I still wouldn't've gone to see that piece of shit. ((I still haven't seen it, in fact. Don't much want to either.))

also, why doesnt any1 complain about the absence of the antropomorphic creatures and talking animals who normally coexisted with humans in the dragonball universe? they were a big part of the manga/anime weren't they? hmmm, wonder why no one mentions that. idk, as a big fan of the original dragonball as well as its cool but repetitive followup DBZ and the atrocious GT, i thought the movie was ok, and at least fun for the most part, because boring is one thing this movie isn't. i give it 2.5/5

Oolong, puar, turtle, korin just to name a few of the main ones. what about pilaf's henchmen shu, mai's accomplice, or even the crooked fox who became friends with goku for one episode. they're everywhere on fictional earth, on an earth where race or skin color was not an issue. and for the record, the skin colors or nationalitys of the characters in dragonball were never stated in the anime, even if some were apparent like Nam. they never once stated the skin color of the saiyins

ok, not to jump on the bandwagon and defend the movie, but its an adaptation, for one thing. they cant make everything the same, especially story. retelling the exact story would be a complete waste, and everyone wudda probably complained about that too and say we already know the story, give us something new. as far as characters personality and looks, what works in the manga or series doesnt always work in live action. my main point is people will complain about everything, nothing's perfect

Well did anyone really expect it to be good? Hollywood just wanted to do the same as everyone else and get in on the money. They did not care much about the story they just wanted to see if they could play to the fans. Of course people just go watch it anyways just to make fun of it. mans got a point...Love Dragonball and Dbz, I watched the movie...could have been way better...wasn't on point..or up to parr...but....it is just an adaptation*....soo chea...but it could have been hella better....honestly after watching, it seems like they just had a lack of effort with the whole movie, but they tried I guess, I'm hoping the next will be far greater...I'm expecting it to be...I'm still gonna buy the movie when it comes out on dvd =p...(PHUCKIN RIGHT)

i just saw it today, i walk out close to the end. you are right, that movie made me so mad. i wasnt the only one that walk out. after goku transform back to himself, did you notice how his clothes were spotless? after that, i saw his kamahamaha and walk out. i was cracking up. one guy walk out halfway threw it after he saw yamcha talking like a surfer dude, he was like 'booooo' lmao. This movie was awful. Chichi was hot though. thats why i would rate it 1/10
