cool stuff or should I say HOTSTUFF--HA!!!! I like pottery vids and want to make some myself sometime coming up---my grandaddy was a potter in 70's and 80's---my grandmother did designs on pots with slip and made sculptures of animals---
When I did it we used a broken piece of a kiln shelf from an electric kiln, you can also make one. Just make a flat disc on the wheel, but use high fire clay.
The lid of the kiln is just an upside down garbage can with a special insulation, I don't the the specs, but you can find some if you search.
When they take of the lid, you can see how the pots are glossy. You wait until they are textured, the glaze will be "bubbly", then wait until it goes glossy, and its ready.
thats my NAME. o.o

First off great video!
Q: What is the shelf made out of, how did you make the lid, and long did you have to fire the pots for?
