like if you are in the good on playing drums in midnight you can play with headphones and wont make it loud like regular drums. thats mostly the only reason for me for the electric drums :P
A very good attempt, having covered this song myself i have only 1 problems with this cover. 1, the beat your playing in the main stansas are incorrect, and most of your fills are wrong, except the double bass breakdown which you hit perfectly. 2, right before the final stansa change the beat is also wrong. But other than that good cover man, and it isnt even a big deal since a cover is just that, a cover. It reflects your own style/preference, so good job man
Lol, I'm pretty sure NO ONE would use these electric kits live. Nothing beats the sound of an acoustic kit, the only reason you'd get an electric kit is the volume knob. I live in a flat so I had no option but to get an electric kit. My neighbours would've went insane otherwise.
Hey man.. I also thought electrics weren't used live.. but if you see nowadays drummers use accoustic but especially on the bass there is a electric pad which the bass drum beater hits.. we only see the accoustic bass drum,, but behind the drum that is facing the drummer**.. is the electric kit bass :)
I know, I was just trying to see if he had a valid reason for declaring them lame. But yes I totally agree, from a practice standpoint they are amazing: compact, virtually no noise aside from the impact on the rubber pads (assuming you're using headphones), and versatile. But yeah, for live/studio you definitely need an acoustic kit.
that was total bullshit
man at least listen to the song!!
its not freaking like that the post solo! and your quads are not like that

Wrong pattern on the kik and butchered the drum fill, but a good improv i guess

why are they lame?
schwarg 2 years ago
They aren't people just think there lame. Electric drum sets are pretty good for pratice but im not really sure people use them to play live.

Oh do you have an electric ? if so which one and how much ?
Followthelight2 2 years ago
Well, I'm a guitarist, but my roommate/drummer plays a roland TD-9s. I think they're like $1000-1200 though. Can get em used for like 600 though.
