If you want a world full of ugly people breed with your own race, If you want a world full of beautiful people you gotta mix eg, Linda Carter who played wonder woman is half mexican brown and white scottish. Many white super models are mongrels eg Christy Turlington is half peruvian brown and half white english. Mariah Careh is half black half white, In fact nearly 100% of all white people are mixed with black, asian, arab, latina blood but they just look white damn! ha ha ha
today a friend of mine, age 24, told me he "didn't get what the big deal was about james brown". after i picked my jaw up off the floor i directed him immediately to this stunning documentary as a good place to start. crucial history..and funk wound up as tight as it gets. kids...wtf?
@IkeDyson But that's the beautiful thing. He didn't ask for payback that night. He showed that people of all races - moreover, people of the one race, the human race - could be better than payback.
@IkeDyson Did he ask for payback in cash for his performance? Sure. I saw that. But did he ask for a violent payback for the death of MLK? No, That's the MUCH more important payback that he didn't ask for.
@IkeDyson He deserved more than that! He saved Boston's ass that night after MLK was murdered! JB had to pay his band, pay for is plane and other expenses as well. JB dropped out of school and went to prison. He had a talent and he used it to make himself rich but he could sing and he could dance. He was exceptional at what he did. No one could do like JB!
I saw this on VH-1 Classic. A great documentary. Brings back a lot of memories, good and bad. Boston has always been a racial powderkeg, had been since the days of Sacco and Vanzetti. Then along comes James Brown who did that televised concert on WGBH after Martin Luther King was murdered and the city was spared from impending doom.
By the way, the narration was done by Dennis Haysbert---The President from '24'!

"AMERICANS ARE BURNING DOWN ALL THEIR GREAT CITIES'" (Sevareid)
Who are these Americans?
"We are Black" (James Brown)
"He made blacks acceptable" (Sharpton)
If we could only show what has happened recently in Philadelphia and Kansas City when black mobs have been attacking whites.

He didn't ask for payback? WHAT are you talking about? Did you actually listen to the documentary? He asked for $60,000.

you're talking about pay. marquettefootball is talking about payback - no connection. i think there was a misunderstanding here.
