Yeah. F. Vancouver's show is larger than many big cities as well. Too bad the economy sucks and they canceled it this year, but it's unconfirmed if it's canceled or not for 2010.

That's a pretty neat grand finale. I should have recorded a video for the fireworks here in Indiana. They probably weren't as good as yours or some other big cities like Washington DC or Chicago, but I thought the fireworks here were decent.
Are the laws in your state very strict regarding lighting off your own fireworks? Here they don't care as much as some of the surrounding states.
Generally, fireworks laws are decided by the city, rather than the state. I live in California where there are only a handful of cities who still launch fireworks.
When I was visiting the Portland Metro area to visit family and watch this show, Portland, OR, only allowed fountains, while banning mortors. Just across the river in Vancouver, they seemed to allow all sorts of fireworks, within a restricted time period and size. I'm not sure about the rest of the state(s), though.

Washington's firework law's are different, we allow fireworks.. While its even illegal to buy them in oregon.

It depends by city and county... Supposedly, this was the last year that mortars are legal in Clark County.
